is the Chicken Worth it?/ Was I robbed?

I for one think no, I have spent a great deal of time playing dungeon defenders and have had my ups and downs, all in the pursuit of the supposedly epic chicken that you get rewarded "Considerably more powerful than regular DPS Familiars, and has the highest number of upgrade levels in the game with potentially over 70."for completing every accomplishment in the game. I just completed the Legendary Defender Achievment and was given a chicken with stats as follows 8/8 levels ( results after maxing) 700 base damage 4 shots per second +7 Knockback +10 Tower health +13 Hero speed 13 Hero cast rate +10 Tower attack +11 Tower Health +12 Overdrive +14 tower attack rate. Now, this being said I feel like aside from the fact the wiki promises a pet that is "CONSIDERABLY MORE POWERFUL THAN REGULAR DPS FAMILIARS" and did not deliver in my case, I wonder if it is even possible to get another one? now its not my first time around the block, im currently ranked #1 on Foundries and Forges on Insane for the 360,and as a player who has devoted alot of his time to this game I cant help but feel robbed.I mean half the fun is in the chase, but to find a blank at the end of the rainbow is a major let down to say the least. Is there anything I can do about this? Better yet, has this happened to anyone else?

I'm sure this is a bug and normally I'd tell you to let Trendy know but next patch all chickens are being made 80 upgrade pets so worry not!

On PC , my current chicken is 60/60 and deals roughly 30k dps on a single target (attacks 2 times in melee , 15k damage each time) , the ranged attack deals 2/3 as much as the melee. (9.7k )
the only stats that were upgraded were attack damage and attack speed (only 1 time to speed , was at 5 base)
so , assuming the extra 20 upgrades are added , and 30% damage bonus on top of that...it might be the best dps out there , I guess...

Do people who already own them get the bonuses trendy is releasing?

Trendy stated the EXACT OPPOSITE of the chicken being STRONGEST , according to TE the chicken is nothing but a Status Icon to them , but since players complaint that this should be an ultimate reward , it has been made as such.

Random note , the Original chicken was weaker then an animus.

Strongest for sure, got a 79 chicken and fully upgraded, doing nearly 13k ranged per hit and nearly 23k close range (up to 45k dps)

People with chicken pets are getting the damaged buffed but for some reason trendy still hasnt decided to make them all have 70+ upgrades for some reason if you got it before the patched it is absolute **** compared to most peoples. Not really sure what the fek trendy are doing with them atm...

check the upcoming patch notes.

even with 33% dmg buff a 45^animus will be much better... dmg wise and statswise.. chicken does AoE dmg yeah but after all we are mostly only fighting vs DEWs

Just to point out what hasn't been said yet: OP is on the 360. He's not getting the patches that PC players are.

All I can say is, let's hope TE sends through an update to console versions soon, since a lot has changed in the game since it first came out. Until then, don't sell off the chicken quite yet!

I completed legendary defender and got NO chicken reward (thanks tavern crash.) They told me to email "lostheroes@trendyent.com" about it, maybe you should to. Though they are pretty understaffed for this kind of thing i'd immagine you might be waiting a while (I've been waiting 13 days now still no reply back through email, just them telling em on my thread in game issues to keep sending emails to different places)

You are one of the first players to get one. Hence you are capped at 60 which is minimum. (Before chicken was 15-48 upgrade.

Chicken favors new players since they can get 80^ chickens.

So if you are a new player you are in luck.

If you are one of us old members, you are screwed.

Retroactive all chickens will be given a change to 80^! =D (now I need to grab me some 100m more mana T.T)

The last time it got scaled, it just buffed for new achievers. Hopefully this time, it won't be 80^ min, while new players have 200^ chickens. lol.

@OP: Yeah, you're boned, the wiki is talking about the buffs to it once people had the same experience you did: "What? I worked this hard for nothing?!". Those buffs are for PC only, since us console guys (PS3 here) are effectively stuck in the distant past.

Be patient. They're fixing chickens in 7.12. Whenever that gets deployed for consoles, your chicken will be useful.

Yea, that sucks if what you said is true. I haven't read up on m$ yet and their game releases; but that proves more douchery on the business portion. Money money money is all people seem to care about. And when I say people I mean the 1% that inhabits most of everything.

Thanks for the feedback guys. so I presume that aside from Deleting my save or complaining to Trendy there is not much I can do aside from hoping on a patch that might address this? Might it possibly have affected my chicken because I was on medium when i got the last achievement?
