With all the terrible untested patches and errors and the ever failing dev team.. not even more then a page of games anymore.

Game is awesome. I find plenty of servers and groups to play with. Many games are full so they don't show up on the list. Please hurry up and rage so we can play in peace.

Because Dungeon defenders is a $60 top end title.
And is going to hit 160k like Skyrim.

if the dev team wasnt crap, it easily could.

skyrim isnt even that good.

Haven't been many games up lately, that is very true. Could be because of skyrim.

Honestly, I think many people are just going to wait for the next big patch before wasting their time anymore. Seems like the most logical explanation at this point.

This is all about perspective, and you have none.

Perspective, plummeting player numbers and a game browser that only shows you games from your download region.

Yes, and find one recent non-high end title, which does not show this trend..

Apart from maybe minecraft, but cult hits, are cult hits.

You get the mass of people who buy the game, play it - drop it, after a few months it levels out with people who keep playing it.
This does not mean the game is dying.

You'd see that trend on almost all games Moose..

That really made no sense, sorry to say. The absolute fact is that far less people are playing now. Perspective has nothing to do with that.

You can pick anything really, even gmod is higher than dungeon defenders right now and that's been out for a seriously long time.

Also while having a player dropoff is pretty normal this is an awful lot steeper than average. Give it a few weeks and you'll probably be lucky to see 2000 players.

Check this out for a bit of a laugh.

That's a bit misleading... it doesn't show natural 0 so it looks like it hits rock bottom =/

Anyone who has passed 6th grade should know to look for the number at the bottom. Just shows how much of a decline it has taken so far.

Because Perspective its almost everything.

You can compare the game to big titles Such as skyrim, mw3 etc, and you can say its failing hard with not even a fraction of the amount of players.

Or

You can compare the game to Similar priced titles such as Monday Night combat, Magicka, terraria, Sanctum, Orcs Must Die, etc
and you can say its got one of the biggest followings for titles within its price range.

You really can't mentally add the extra small amount? Fair enough, here's a version for people with no imagination.

Doesn't exactly make it look better.

You could also compare it to the sales of Limbo Of The Lost and say it's the best selling game known to man.

How about we stick to comparing it's player data against what it was like a short time back?

Also if you really must compare it to another game, try this, it's broadly the same level of game, using practically the same business model and it's dead in the water because it got into an unstoppable player falloff landslide.

Yes the game is declining after release, its what games do.

MW3

Skyrim

Rift

Orcs Must Die

There isnt a game out there that doesnt Decline over time. Its how the world works. New games come out and people want to play them, thus they are unable to play games previously purchased.

Well I am pretty sure, however pointless this thread may be, that the point was simply that this game has lost a lot of people. I don't think any comparisons were meant to be brought into play here.

You can't read can you... but yes that is less misleading... I was more concerned for your fellow players who can't tell the difference... which there are a lot of them

Im just gonna quote my post again, because its just that awsome.

Look at that, skyrim has been out for a little over a week and its already lost 50% of its players it had just 7 days ago. OH NO THE GAME IS DEAD!

This is the natural cycle of videogames, very few keep their initial playerbase. By now the people know whether they like it or not.
