Exegi monumentum aere perennius [DD Art Contest]

Hello, it's time again for our defenders to show some skills outside of just defending the dungeon.

This Contest you are asked to make a poster art that is DD1 themed.

Thanks to our great friends at CG, the main prize for this contest winner is, as the title suggests, the immortalization of your art by putting it into the game as a poster inside the tavern for everyone to see.

Rules:

Your art needs to be SFW, there can not be any adult content on it, otherwise, it won't qualify for any reward.

You can make your art using digital or manual tools, it's up to your preference.

Your art can be any shape you want but take into consideration that it needs to not feel out of place in the tavern, it would be best if the whole poster was either a rectangle or a circle.

You need to be okay to sign a content agreement with CG to put your art into the game.

The theme of your art needs to be DD1 related.

Your art can not contain any copyrighted content (for example, you can't draw an App drinking a Coca-Cola and wearing a pokemon t-shirt).

Use Google Drive, dropbox, or Imgur to upload your files.

The contest lasts till 1st of September 2023.

Short description of your art, what is it, why did you make it, etc:
Its the squire being happy about beating the assault part of TI without losing lives!
First try at doing some art, i think its kinda cute (though nowhere near as good as the tavern art).
I made it to "experiment" with drawing the squire's weird helmet.

What event item would you want to get: would love rainmaker, but because my art is oh so bad, ill settle for xenon's shell pole and if that's a no go, then literally anything😁.

My art is a skin/undead version of the hermit in a waste land. He was killed defending the crystals only to use his druid power to resurrect himself into a new form. 

I made this art because I wanted to make skin Ideas for the hermit seeing as we have no skins for him right now and thought it would be cool to do a undead theme.

My art is a miniature art, it is also about a special early date. That's supposed to be outer space xD, commemorating the new year that's coming.

Also above the numbers I drew a main characteristic of each character, unfortunately I didn't know what to draw of the monk so I drew a spear...

I added a Crystal Core and I was thinking of doing more, but because of the location I put it in, I found it unnecessary to add more.

Hello, I made a mistake in the first image, I exported it wrong and it didn't have to have a background and it came out in poor quality, here it is in better quality and without a background, I also made another one with a background and a little design change

Art: This is the home of one of our goblin friend in the winter. A cozy hut with matching trees on either side, just up the road from his friends in Wintermire. I created this after some recent Wintermire farming, inspired by our enemies and their personal lives, contemplating whether we truly are so much different. This is my personal sketch of the southermost spawn home on the Wintermire map.

My first time drawing on the Ipad, i enjoyed it but the apple pencil was not working so i struggled a bit. As you can tell from my name i love pyramids, so i choose Thomb of Etheria as a background and infront you can see the monk defending the crystal from incoming hordes of monsters.

Description: The Apprentice unlocks the Lightning Tower, chaos ensues. I recently picked the game up again so I'm levelling up some new characters to enjoy the process of the grind. Then finding out the Lightning Tower is capable of piercing countless enemies was quite the treat, which made me want to play around with it more for how I could have it destroy hordes with i, and it was also an instant idea for what to draw. I drew it using my Huion drawing tablet with Krita

Item: I don't know much about event items in specific, I would just want a good staff for a damage-oriented Apprentice for the late-game or an equipment item that grants good tower stats for an Adept.

this is a group selfie between me and my friends grinding TI for hours but still having fun ♥
this represent all da homies i ever play with , unfortunarely i cant draw everyone of them.
TI is the map that i enjoy the most right now even before or after the changed.
it can get repetitive at time but play with 5 other friends and we type or talking with each other is always make it so much more fun

I've given a lot of thought to what I should make as the poster for this challenge, and it was quite a challenge to even think about it! (I only usually draw portraits... of League of legends characters LOL)  To represent Dungeon Defenders I  had to take into consideration of what really is dungeon defenders about.  Is it the mobs? Is it the heroes? Or is it the bosses and maps? I ended up settling with just a crystal. After all, this game is really about protecting the crystal and the old one's army comes from the crystal. So my artwork represents the crystal in the crystalline dimension. I tried to make the colors really pop. 

An event item? I would like to have Rainmaker, A pointy hat (colors don't matter) and salem.

Here we can see the Tavernkeeper at the crystal heart forge before he returns back to his shop. 

Everyone can agree the tavernkeeper is an iconic character in DD1 and has been around since the start of it, so I wanted to include him, while showing off something newish to DD1. With the addition of the Crystal heart forge added in March, I thought it would be a perfect spot for our longtime friend to finally visit and take a well-deserved break from his shop. 

Thank you everyone for all the events you host and all the stuff you do to keep DD1 alive and fun.

Short description of your art, what is it, why did you make it, etc.
I started with the Santa skin on the apprentice because its sooo underrated. Most players pick the Adept so they can run faster, but the Santa skin is sick because you can have two Santa hats on your head :) After drawing the Santa apprentice I drew a goblin, but it didn't feel right without a Santa costume. Then I added a snowy background to complete this masterpiece.
