Tower placement bug?

I run a summoner in my deck.  Yesterday while doing survival on magus quarters all of my other heroes started going top down to place or repair  towers.  Even the summoner while not in overlord mode.  Well today when I logged in they are all still doing it even in the tavern.  How do I get it back to normal?  Makes it hard to play when you can't just go on the fly and repair.

 

Also I just tried to uninstall and reinstall but it didn't change.

This is a feature in the game.  You can toggle the top-down mode, default hotkey is T.

Thank you so much.  I looked though the options menu and T is set to open Action wheel. I was pushing it and it opened the wheel.  I also tapped it but it didn't do anything until I tapped it while placing a tower.
