Please help me

Just got steam deck to play this game.  I would load it up & the controllers would automatically drift all the way down & I could only click exit.  I changed resolution & got it up & running on the steam deck.  Something must have happened because I don't have my characters anymore.  I loaded up dungeon defenders on my computer & everything was gone.  I loaded up a backup save into my dungeon defenders steam file.  I loaded up dungeon defenders on PC.  It gave me option to use cloud or local save file.  I used local.  I loaded it up & my characters are there for local but completely gone for online.  I loaded up on Steam deck & no characters  for online or local.  Please help i don't want to lose my characters I have been building for over 8 years now.  Thanks

Hi, was this issue solved? I just had the same thing happen and lost all of my Ranked progress.

For anyone finding this post because they ran into the same problem, this issue is still not resolved. I'm not sure it's possible to recover our data at this point.

Yes, unfortunately there is limited amount of people that can do anything with it so your only possibility is waiting without logging in

It's terrible that this problem exists, the same thing happened to me and I don't know what I was doing! I have been collecting my characters for 4 years!

Bump - still hoping this will be resolved so that I can play the game again.

I ended up starting new because I didn’t hear anything back for months. Battling depression and this is the only game that gave me happiness. Glad you account is back. I don’t have hope for mine. I have all my previous saves backed up on a usb but can’t restore them.

I'm sorry to hear that, have you still not heard anything about it? If you started fresh playing in Ranked on the same Steam account then you probably won't be able to get your data back as far as I understand. The early game grind is quite fun though IMO. You can add me on Steam and let me know if you need help with anything in game if you'd like.
