After having anticipated this game on the Switch for an incredibly long time now, it's really sad to see that there's yet more delays (4-6 weeks!), and still no split screen either...

The email I just received also mentions NOA and NOE versions.  Earlier they stated that Australians (like me) should get the NOE version, but what about an NAL version?  Would've been nice.  Doesn't help that we have a tiny population though compared to America & Europe.

Hello!

I am also a fellow Australian.

I created an account just to comment on this dissapointment of a game and company that only knows how to delay things further. Can you elaborate on the delays you have received? As in it's not being released on the 4th of August??

I've been keeping an eye on this since the announcement but only created the account today to comment how bad this has been. We were supposed to be able to buy the game since the 28th of July?

Why are there delays now?

The game is still releasing the 4th. The codes for backers are being delayed.

That'd be great and all, but here in Australia we can't pre-order either.  Just did a search on the eShop.  Oh, and it's the 4th now.

It is supposed to release 12pm EST on the 4th which would be about 2am on the 5th for Australia.  I live in America so I will get my key this weekend but I’m not waiting, I’ll buy the game and find a friend to give the key to or sell it at a discount.

I really wish the company would stop making these mistakes, they make a truly quality game which they obviously put a lot of love into but they are losing a lot of good faith with all these missed deadlines and broken promises.

It really is frustrating. Not once did someone at Chromatic think to check what was needed to distribute Switch keys outside of Nintendo in all this time.

And for us to find out literally just before release.

Sure, for them they just found out too, but it should have been on them to look out for issues like this ages ago. They knew they had to redistribute keys, so how did they not know about apparently important taxation forms?

The amount of issues this campaign has come across is making me go as far as to wonder if this is just a way to get loyal backers to buy another copy to play it on release... after all they are the ones most likely to do so.

I'm sure it isn't the case, it is just one of many messups, but can you blame me for thinking it by this point?

What is the key they are talking about? Is it a free copy of the switch version? If I still buy it in the nintendo store, can I link it together with my steam version?

It is for Kickstarter backers who requested a switch key.  The switch and steam versions are separate and won’t have cross saves.

Maybe by the time NoE keys get sent, there will be splitscreen :squire_small:

The amount of setbacks and instances of things not working out as intended by now is verging on incompetence. It is getting increasingly difficult to see it in any favourable light at best they were overly naive and inexperienced. I find it difficult to have any faith in whatever they announce and will employ a wait and see approach. Even if they are honest with intentions it seems obvious that doesnt really mean much with the actual outcome.

I thought this was practically the original trendy team, who released on phone, ps3 and pc for dd1. This release feels just as messy, although at least consoles will (at time of this writing) at least get the same content. No split screen though is a big one to miss.
