Is Xbox save stored on servers like pc version or save is stored on console hard drive?

I plan to buy Xbox version of DDA but only if this is server side save to avoid any "cheaters" who will duplicate gear and gold.

You cant extract xbox saves like you could during the 360 era, duping didnt work during those days either as item id’s would just delete the other

But you might trade with others and give them items then instant logout to don't trigger save..
This is at least issue in diablo 3 with local save that 3 weeks after season start 80% top players run with perfect gear.

DDA has a combination of both - cloud save and local save so you can play offline if you wish to. There are some anti cheat mechanisms in to catch cheating while playing online - or switching form a local save to play online. They are allot more proactive with banning that they were during the 360 days so there should be less chance of running into a cheater.

You cannot access or modify Xbox One / Series gamesaves. They can only be saved on the internal drive and the cloud backup. This was done specifically to avoid the issues during the 360 days with gamesave editing and sharing.
