CG, your game is dying, again

Plus higher difficulties are kind of a mess. Even being able to complete them doesn't feel good. The builds that are necessary to beat the most difficult Massacre maps feel like exploits rather than well thought out strategy with multiple ways to beat it. Considering DSTs are your only option for anti-air on the hardest maps.... That is also a mess since they can ignore copters and fire at less priority targets. It just feels like the builds required to complete the hardest maps are exploity and messy when you finally do complete it. Anti-air would actually solve a large chunk of this issue though as long as the DU is reasonable.

I think if there was a target priority it would be helpful.  In Bloons TD you can select "Closest, First, Strongest, Last"  That was so helpful as I could designate one or two specifically for the stronger guys, or for the first.  At the very least a target priority should be built in with Fliers first.  I would have some of my DSTs set with Fliers then Strongest, and some set to Fliers  then Closest

I agree with the statements on a lack of communication. Here is my 2 cents about my 2 experiences with customer support tickets.

1st Ticket took 3 weeks for an automated response that closed the ticket with out resolution. By the time it was answered, I had already leveled past the legacy transfer error and just let it drop.

2nd Ticket is STILL OUTSTANDING! Opened 9/22/20 the same day of the patch, We moved to a new house and my son logged into my account from the new IP to play. Since that day I can only see 1 - 3 online games, I can join them, but they are never at my game play level, so pointless. I can NOT invite or join my steam friends games... I have updated my ticket/email repeatedly with supporting screen shots.

Why do I now mention this? A month with Z E R O feed back from customer support and a game I paid to back (I have finally received my rewards) that I can not play with my friends, just some low level strangers. Not that I don't mind carrying them from time to time, but that is not the point.

Don't bring up discord, I don't use it and refuse to add another piece of software to my system. They have a support system already in place, they should not ignore it. OR their loyal customer base. At this point, communication is the key to their success or failure. They did a great job communicating while asking us backers for cash though!

Sadly the game killed itself as far as progression by the hero deck allowing all heores in deck to get xp. It was the right thing to do but it did significantly speed up that progression to 100, where it took a long time in DD1. There is very little RPG progression as most stats are really killed as far as points spent and actual reward. So you have basically only one main stat for builders or dps, non of the others really mean you drop points away from either power, fortify or attack., unless you have specialist monk boosters. With Rift enemies announced that kind of makes EV DPS less viable.

I actually did not mind the Hero deck method, Otherwise I would have readily been waiting for some type of emulator, or probably just run the game on two accounts to level up faster. The grind was enough between 70 and 90. Although I think I noticed it a lot around the 80s. Im sure with future updates there will be better maps to run that allow for much easier experience gain just like Tavern Defense on DD1.

Only one viable weapon per class is limiting.

With updates were sure to receive more weapons that all have potential, but in games like this when your an efficient player you tend to go for whats best, and whats best tends to be 1 or 2 weapons. (more if your just throwing in different functionalities of that weapon, but in the end the DPS levels out the same.

Assault was lacklustre due to no Blasticus

I was largely disappointed in the weapon from that map.

A PvP deathmatch and assault map or maps would have been good to have, with the winners getting better end game chests than the defeated.

I'm waiting to relive my favourite memories on Sky City, Moraggo, AQUANOS!!!!!!!!! etc.

It would be sweet if the free DLC was those 4 maps, but no way do I want  them to be the paid DLC.

I think they gave up on the game. Some say there's a lack of content, but I tend to think that misses the mark. It's not that there's not enough content, it's that all the content is too easy and completed far too quickly, even for non-elite players. All of the content, even nightmare survival at the lowest level available was laughably easy at launch. Enter massacre survival, and it's only a marginal step up in difficulty. Going from insane to nightmare should have been a challenge, and kept players engaged for a while, but it just didn't. Progressing to massacre campaign again should have taken a while to complete and been a challenge, but it wasn't. Strong players stomped through it with few obstacles. Same with mass survival. Games that are too easy don't retain player's interest. That, more than lack of content or communication about upcoming content is the real issue as I see it. Why play a game devoid of challenge?

The game has been officially released. Please stop spreading the lie that this is still early access.

CG has nothing to say

Why should they come back to a sinking ship? They got "our" Money.

But to be fair; there is Covid still going on, some political BS in the US and A and their Working Rooms got flooded...

+ personal Stuff each Member of "Trendy" / "Chromatic Games" (or whatever they are calling themself nowadays) are carrying around, like we all...

For me, i am done with the Dungeon Defenders franchise.

i have around 4000 hours(afk time incl. :-P), which isn't that much spreaded over the years, in DD1(pc and old xbox)+DD2+DDE and backed(kickstarter) DDA for ~100$ (still waiting for for the stuff i backed for, except the Beta-Game Key and Forum Title, which i got...) last time i checked the Steam Shopsite all i saw was still worse than DDE... pseudo "Unreal engine" Building Kit
