Hey guys!

Personally I find DD:A to be a beautiful piece of artwork, I love the UI Design of the game, the updated Graphics and the use of the original maps as well as the new maps included in the game. I am making this thread as I would love to hear everyone else's input on the new DD:A, being what they like, dislike and/or maybe even things they miss which are in the original DD but not in the DD:A.

Let me know your thoughts on this.

Thanks,

- Buckyy :)

I do like dda.

It's a nice game but I don't like the rng at boss battle it's of all the other get the rong resistance and I loose. Or a missing shark get poison resist and I loose . I hope they make it so you don't fail the wave 25 of random shit.

For the rest great work

I think my playing time on each will speak to my preferences here.  :)

DD (Xbox): 5,000+ hours, Event Host, the Undertow squire weapon was Forged By Damocles.  :)

DD2 (Steam):  37 hours

DDE (Steam):  87 hours

DDA (Steam):  920 hours

I like DDA, but the lack of communication makes me believe they gave up on the game.

Did you know they were working on a TCG? Yeah, me neither, but last week I heard that they had been doing weekly polls for a month to know what to add in that game because I decided to be a smartass on the community discord.

The development cycle definitely not trendy has is dumb and all I can think of is that at some point they thought making a MOBA out of DD2 was a good idea.

On a stream/video you had who I think is an owner proclaiming that they wanted to make a franchise that would blablablablabla. I just want them to make a darn good game. They have a great recipe, but they keep thinking that the salt is the sugar.

I come to the forums once every week or less now. I have less than 2 hours in DDA in the last 2 to 3 weeks. There's no news. Absolutely no communication on their part. Is DDA dead? Who knows. Probably not, but im hoping the next update will reflect that "probably not" and do spare me from having to eat those words.

I am a little worried about the lack of communication. Almost 3 weeks now with nothing, at least on this website. I dont even want to know if they have said something elsewhere, because whatever was said should of been shared here. Here on their main website with the forums of DD1, DD2 and DDA. So I can only assume there's been no other update as of my posting.

The Dev roadmap. This thing. It is supposed to help, but I honestly feel more frustrated with it. I like knowing where their at, but the most important (IN MY OPINION) things such as Split screen, Console versions, Player trading, Twitch integration and player shops are not any closer to being done. So what about being able to drop items?  Is that a thing were going to get, or is that based on the Dev map, because I dont even see it on there. If you look at the finalized section we got some juicy tidbits, such as Host ready up (I feel like DDA has a lot of "play my way" or get booted mentality, makes sense when your playing efficiently) and maybe that's just because only the most dedicated are still playing except for the others who trickle in to test the game out, but that could further the gap and spoil it for those who want to enjoy the game and not rush it. I guess I'm referring to the new players who may reach Massacre mode, not the ones who farm it regularly. The ones who farm it regularly have no souls, we all know this. Another bit is the Tavern difficulty (although honestly this should of been in 1.0.) But beyond this there isn't anything else super notable.

I believe that if we explore the reasoning we will find it in the state of the realeased game. So many important and engaging aspects such as the aforementioned have yet to be implemented. I can understand if there are delays due to the current state of our world, but as it stands it seems many businesses are either coping or failing. If CG isnt on their "game", then they need to get there. CGs had some crummy days, but I still hold a small flickering glimmer of hope for this game.

In conclusion I enjoy the game, but there are some serious things that need to be implemented to truly get it off the ground. Its DD1 remade with updated graphics, models and functionality.  There isnt a whole lot that adds to the story, but is that new here in this franchise? My 450+ hours in DDA attest to my enjoyment of the game. We have the base 4 heroes (and now eva) I dont mind that we got Eva and I certainly wouldn't mind getting summoner, but new heroes would be awesome as well. The older heroes are as remembered, and play the same as DD1. There is a lot of content missing that should of been there in the beginning and still isnt. I literally bought this game with 3 others, but the others refuse to play the game. The gameplay is fun. There are 6 modes of increasing difficulty. The Easy, Medium, Hard and Insane difficulties are about what you would expect (if you know this genre of game you could probably start on Hard difficulty). Nightmare was a hurdle, but mostly due to the antagonizing long xp road between 84 and 90. At level 90 you can use the (what is currently) best armor, and you really need the level 90 gear to progress further. Massacre difficulty is satisfying and very player oriented. Dont expect to lounge around in Massacre mode, if you do well your a bad teammate then. The new mob: The Siren is a cool addition to gameplay mechanics, but she simply adds more RNG aspect. In boss waves this can be challenging. The loot looks nice, and hopefully we get even more variety, especially with the projectiles specifically. The UI is Gorgeous. Some things could use a touch up, but I'm sure they are in the works so I wont go into any more on it. I do miss my inventory system from DD1 with Folders, but with more features this "Bag" concept could outdo the folders.

At this point I am just waiting for a decent content update to get back into the game, I dont have much of that "farm for even the little upgrades" mentantlity going on.

The biggest features you missed are split-screen play and console versions.  I understand that these features will likely not add anything for most of the people currently playing, but there's a lot of people waiting to start the game until these are implemented.

I just miss DD2 (Pre-Alpha version).  I can see why people hate the game currently.  But the Pre-alpha version was by far my favorite of all TE / CG installments.

I personally haven't gone on survival as of yet, I am just playing all the maps on all the difficulties, but seems like a hassle

Haha Definitely similar on DD1, not particularly a fan of DD2, DDE was okay but not anything special, DDA is getting there but still needs a lot of improvements.

I do agree, I do miss Trendy however, I just hope CG can improve DDA a little bit more. My first time going on it I notice massive map errors such as, Missing Walls, or Walls that shouldn't there, legit saw enemies walking through them aha, but all valid points and I agree.

Hopefully they will add more stuff such as maps and more characters so it makes the game that little bit more interesting to play.

I hope to god DDA isn't dead otherwise I would've support and helped CG get quarter of a million $ for nothing. I understand the frustration and I feel it too, hopefully they will work on doing more with the game soon, fingers crossed...

True, I am currently playing it on my MacBook Pro, although it is playable to a certain extent, I can't run it on epic settings only high, so getting it on xbox would be a lot better, it will also be more difficult for people to "Mod" it like they did on DD1, which was really annoying if you just wanted to play legit. I know you have ranked, but even then you still get the occasional modder on there showing off there cheated items.

Definitely agree there, they started adding random stuff and it made the game annoying, just lost interest to be honest.

Thank you for all of your opinions! It's awesome hearing it. From what I hear the main issue is CG's lack of communication. All that we can hope is that they start communicating with their customers a lot more, also the road map is ridiculous, makes no sense.

I haven't logged on in over a month I think. I thought people were too critical of Chromatic but after the last patch I don't know. Physical immune ogres and sharks charging through walls with poison gas and EV stun beams down just ruins the game for me. Also strength drain no longer working on bosses makes it so if you make a single mistake on a boss fight or you just get unlucky you lose 20+ minutes of time.

I think what really did it though is how they said they liked how the Squire DPS was working, though they did think it was too strong. They said on a dev stream they wanted to avoid nerfing it because they felt balancing out the other heroes was better for the game. Then they just nerfed squire and I was no longer able to solo content I could before.

I just wasn't happy with massacre survival progression. It felt challenging for the wrong reasons and didn't feel rewarding for me.

Thanks. There was a whole lot I missed. These features you mention are just as big as the ones I mentioned. They just slipped my mind when I was letting the forums have it.

Put thousands of hours into the DD games. I liked them all in their own ways, I do like DDA just wish they would thorw out a map every so often to keep us going. Fix a few RNG issues, have a reason to do the challenges more than once.

Went online this AM 9 games across all difficulties, that's not healthy. used to be pages of them.
