Help with transfer tool

I just went into my LEGACY profile to check if everything is okay before i use the transfer tool and i realize that the game is actually using the PLAY profile, i checked 10 times 

any thoughts?

 

 

 

 

If you haven't already played since the steam "launch" then it was automatically moved to "Play". No reason to deal with the transfer tool if you are already in the Play ecosystem.

no, I mean my play profile had lvl 30 heroes, legacy lvl 90

thats why im scared to use the tool :S

I'm having the same issue.  I got to play my Legacy heroes and when I get to the lobby my Play heroes are there.  Are my Legacy heroes gone??

Same, don't dare to use the tool now either..

So your play and legacy are both showing your play profile?

Same problem here! I wanted to check my legacy account and see if it's worth tranfsering it.

(Pretty sure it is, because i already had 2 decks of lvl 100 heros and so much nice gear,,,) BUT i can't load my legacy account.  :(

When i try it and hit the play legacy button, the game loads my new PLAY account instead. So i'm kinda scared to transfer it now too. Don't wanna end up with nothing...

No, only the Play profile shows when logging in to Legacy. None of the actual Legacy chars show anywhere, its like the same deck is on both sides now rather than split.. And the wrong way around!

Hi, same issue for me, have used the transfer tool but now both Play and Legacy are showing my Play data and characters.

This is rather frustrating.

If the transfer fails do the following:

1. Restart Steam.
2. Open DDA.
3. Wait 10 seconds while at the Main Menu and click nothing. (Do not go into Play or Legacy)
4. Go to the Transfer Tool.
5. Press and hold just like instructions say.
6. When it tells you to restart DDA just wait another few seconds and then do so.

Repeat the above once or twice but it will take. As for seeing Play data only now, your Legacy data is still in the cloud waiting transfer so you can do as many attempts as you want.

Thank you for your answer we just wanted to confirm that we were getting the right profile copied.

I did the migration all went ok, no issues for now.

i transferred and played a few days. lost some pets and items whatever. i was still leveled up. now when i started the game today all of a sudden it reverted back to my play save and lost all my legacy progress and progress after transferring. this is just retarded.

happened to me right now too.  @Ice please let us know what to do about this.

I'm sorry if I'm just missing something obvious, but I just read today about the transfer stuff, and was wondering where the tool actually is? I haven't played in over a month probably, and when I start the game up everything seems like nothing has changed with my characters, I'm not sure am I supposed to download an application to use the tool, or where to even see the instructions. Thanks for the help and I'm sorry if this is a silly question.

So in the main menu there is play, legacy, and transfer button, options, redeem codes, etc if you only have PLAY you are good to go, otherwise follow the process above
