My favorite memory on DD is by far playing through the campaign the first time with my brother back on Xbox 360 and finally beating the summit.

My favorite memory are all the speedrun contests i took part. Even if i never made it into the Top 5 it was a lot of fun trying to get there.

My favorite memory is getting the game from my dad for Christmas and playing it with him and my brother. Awesome times! Sad that this will be the final update...

Thats a tough question.. I think i had too many favorite moments ^^

Right after seeing it on YT after its release i was flashed! In the first month of playing it i spend at least 250+ hours in DD and i loved it SO MUCH. I can remember farming Alch Lab survival for "super loot", reaching wave 23 was involving an 4 Hour investment because of how slow Enemies moved back then. It was just a great time, the community was and is still to this day the best Community i have seen in any game so far!

Thanks for all this awesome moments. :classic_love:

I don't remember a lot about my past in DD but I sure as hell remember all the great times I've had with all the amazing people in the community since I returned to the game early this year. When I came back to the game I really thought I was going to play for a few days, get bored then quit again. That probably was going to be the case until someone I met in game invited me to the DDRnG discord and the rest is history.

My favourite moment ever was playing around with gravity and speed altering items that IHDC made for us (thanks again for that). We sat in a call for 12 hours at least, running around like maniacs on all kinds of maps, flying way outside the boundaries of the maps. We spent the last few hours on Lifestream Hollow PvP yeeting each other across the map with the knockback from our staves, complaining that Escev's staff had a faster animation every time we died to him. The word yeet has never been said so much in one call, my throat still hurt days later. Thank you Manyu, Jeol and Escev for the amazing memory and memories.

A close second had to be helping Lolzcoolcat get Ultimate Defender. The whole thing just devolved into chaos until one thing eventually broke all of us. I placed a warrior minion after trying to explain why they're the best minion in the game and within 30 seconds it got stuck running into a wall. We were laughing so hard that I had to leave the call to catch my breath multiple times. Thanks Washboard, Jeol and Lolzcoolcat for that one.

I have to say thank you to the CDT for saving this game, it is so much better than I ever remembered it. When you look back on a game you have played in the past you're often blinded with nostalgia and fail to notice a lot of flaws. Since I've come back to the game I've seen that the CDT actually made the game what my nostalgia goggles made it look like, a truly incredible feat.

And thank you to the events team for making all these interesting items over the years and setting up a fun time for everyone on your own free time. Gaia's is the best event item and if you think otherwise your opinion is wrong :). (Or maybe this upcoming item will surpass it, :eyes:)

I just remember waking up at like 5 or 6 in the morning and going straight to my playstation, playing with friends doing the same shit and just grinding out glitterhelm, endless spires all that. And then switching to PC and meeting the amazing community here. Sad to see it's the last patch but all things must come to an end right

One of my favorite memories was when I first switched to PC and saw all the different content along with the new characters then learning the different play styles that I can use to progress through the game and pick up new strategies

I'll include two... because my journey with this game has been split heavily into two pieces.

My first experience was the first time I fought the Demon Lord. I heard about DD1 when i was 15ish and I invited my friends over to play this amazing-looking couch co-op on my xbox. Well bodda bing bodda boom, we started to fall in love with it immediately. When the four of us landed at Alchemical Lab, a boss was the last thing we expected, and if I had a sound-clip of our voice-cracky, mid-balldrop voices squealing around my basement as that countdown commenced, I would listen to it on the regular just for nostalgia effect.

Fast forward 5 years and my buddy (from that same couch) GofTheMaster and I both have full copies of the PC version, and It feels like I'm relearning a brand new game. Over the next few years after that, CDT updates begin, DD2 happens aaaand the DD:A beta (which I bought copies for Gof and myself <3), and GofTheMaster and I find ourselves with the goal of 100%ing the community updated DD! before DD:A is officially launched. Cue jumpcut to our Transcendent Survivalist --we are easily able to beat any level on survival-- and we find ourselfes at wave 24 on Magus Quarters. "We're fine Gof" I say, with our 4 archer minions that we put way too much faith in. "No Kaz, we're absolutely fucked" Gof says as I tab back into see our auras down from djinns, and our crystal getting SHMACKED by some goblins.

(There's also the time Gof walked me through ToP, and he said "You gotta do this" then immediately fell of his orc onto the spikes.)

That was all last week :p

Anywhoo... here's my profile page

My fondest memory of this game stems from when I just started playing. I got introduced to this game by a fellow defender (Denkan if you see this, hello o/ ) and the countless hours we spent in the beginning, just playing through the campaign for the first time while sharing music through spotify over discord is something I'll never forget.

I also want to give a big thank you to everyone else who I've met and gotten to know, you guys are amazing!

My favorite memory was probably when I achieved Ultimate Defender way back in December 2015 thus completing every single steam achievement in the game at the time. My last achievement for it was both Real Time Strategist and the Mythical version of it. This also happened to be the same year that I first started playing the game so I made a lot of progress in 6 months :)

My favorite dd memory would have to be when I got the game years ago. I loved the idea of it and played it for hours straight finding new ways to beat maps and new towers that each character could use as they leveled up. I have never found such an amazing feeling playing any other game.

My friend got me this game for Christmas 2012.  He had an extra in his four-pack, so I figured I would "give it a shot".

I remember grinding HARD to get through Ramparts on INSANE, and when we FINALLY beat it we felt on top of the world.  He nor I had all the builders, so we would split up the building duties.  We also discovered the wonders of guardians and realized JUST how powerful they truly were.  Summoners didn't exist at the time, so your defenses had to be a little beefier to take the beating you knew was coming.

Man, those were the days...  I started playing just as transcendent equipment was released.  I recall there was a small 3-4 day window when the assault pack maps rewarded transcendent weapons (Big Sticks, Retributions, etc.) and I had managed to stockpile a LOT of them.  I had people handing over token "weapons".

Who remembers upgrading weapons to create mana tokens?  That's the good ol' days!

My favorite, more recent, memories include helping new players succeed.  I will generally make suggestions for their skill level, and try to help them be able to build a defense that works with their stats.  I always point them to the discord channel.  It allows them to ask a larger group of people for input.

I just want to thank you Thales, the CDT, ICers, Event Hosts and all the staples of the community for keeping this great game alive and well.
