[GIVEAWAY] Celebrating the Final Patch

Recommended Posts

Greetings defenders!

Since the beta for DDA ended up being release at almost the same time as the final patch for DD1, the event team decided to wait till it was near the end of the period to do this giveaway.

It's been a long fun journey, and on the spirit of the event right after the first CDT patch, we'll be giving a pretty neat item to celebrate. You don't get to play an event map this time around, but everyone can receive ONE of them by commenting their favorite DD1 memory on this thread and linking their steam profile on the post.

This giveaway will be in the style of the beta ones. After posting your submission here, you'll be able to contact a host for your item (after December 15) and there will be a trace sheet for the item. The item will be limited for one per person, and trying to get it on alt account WILL get you banned from any future events and special giveaways from my part, so don't think there will be no consequences for cheating to get extras.

The extra time before being able to get the item is to be able to organize it on our side and get a backlog of people to trade all at once.

This giveaway will last for the next 3 weeks (Ending at Jan 5 2020), so be sure to spread it around. (Time may be extended due to holiday seasons)

Please don't post any screenshots of the item on this thread to avoid ruining the surprise for other people

As always, thanks for all the support and participation and for being a warming community. Hope to see you all sticking around for some more time

EDIT:

Everyone can message CPFUZZY , Lolzcoolcat, AZ or me for the items

My favorite memory of this game is couch co-oping it with my best friends in middle school. We'd stay up til 4 am playing maps on the 360, trying to figure out the best builds, getting excited over core drop items that dropped that were upgrades for us. It is one of the first game we played as a squad and obviously i havent forgotten it, Im still here playing it :D My favorite game of all time and my love for it started in a basement when i was 12, love it.

Definitely had to be originally spending hours on hours and countless of attempts until finally beating the crystalline dimension and killing the old one, allowing me to play as a parent! Great memories and am very excited for DDA

My favorite memory is coming home from school to play on a computer barely running the game. I used to steam chat with groups (no mic), and run CD. Really great to remember the early feel of the game and enjoy the content on a deeper level as time has gone on. Thanks for you Thales and all the other hosts, ICers, community members to make it good. Been a nice journey and I hope to see it continue.. just a little longer.

Dungeon Defenders was my first game on steam ever and when I got it I had no idea what I was doing. The first thing I remember was playing with my best friend on his xbox when I wanted to show it to him. Overall though if I had to pick out one moment it was when I got my first level 100 character.

I'm so glad this game has been supported for so long and for the awesome DDRNG community. Also CDT you guys are awesome for the great content you add.

My favorite memory is of when I just started playing. Always been a huge fan of tower defense games in general, and watching TotalBiscuit show off this 3D tower defense game was amazing. I didn't have much money at the time, but buying this game and investing all the time I did into it was probably the most fun I've had playing a game to this day.

Me and one of my friends weren't super close but we were a part of the same friends group. I got to know him better as I kept getting to know that group of people, but one day I suggested we play this game because I loved it all the way back in the xbox 360 days. We both got it on steam and I think this was really the first time we played a whole lot of time just me and him. We ended up becoming really close friends and we were roommates for about four years after that. I just remember trying our best to grind through to nightmare and how hyped we were when we both got good blaster rifles grinding tinkerer's labs. The highlight tho was probably our first event and getting the cavalry, which is my favorite boi, I love the seahorses and blue is my absolute favorite. After we got those pets our DPS characters were finally good enough to really make it through some of the harder bosses and get into endgame (midgame?)

Probably one of my favorite memories has to be when I completed the original campaign on Dungeon Defenders on nightmare hardcore for the first time. Constant losses and challenges to figure out how to survive the dragon ended up in celebration as we aimed our weapons right at it's head. We then proceeded to goof around with portals guns way too much and lost many many maps. Was fun though!

Can't wait to do it again in Dungeon Defenders Awakened! For Etheria!

My favorite memory of DD1 was playing on Xbox with 3 friends doing blasticus runs and after you finish the run the person who would win was the one who jumped off the map first.

Back when I had 1-2k stats and an apprentice as my only builder (and dps!), I somehow scraped by and managed to beat Halloween Spooktacular 2 NMHC solo. After dozens of tries, I managed to get one run to the boss wave and spent a good half an hour dpsing the heroes down. Looking back on it, it's a pretty silly achievement, but I was really excited to tell my friends about it the next day. Those were the good ol' days :')

And finally, thank you all for keeping this game alive and being one of the best communities I've ever come across. ♥

Thinking of a favorite memory takes me back to playing on the Xbox 360. The very first time playing through the campaign, I'm playing the squire. On Servants Quarters I hit the level necessary to unlock the slice and dice tower. My friends and I's reaction to that tower was the greatest.
