Recommended Posts

I know its a little off topic bcuz u guys are focusing hard in DDA.
But could we pls get more bags for DDII ?
MAN I LOVE THIS GAME, and im not quiting it with DDA like others.

Im playing it a lot and reseting loop right now, so im saving my 10/10 mods and shards im gilding.

I already have all bags and bank i can purchase and all is left to me is 19 slots, bcuz the rest is full :((((

could i have a reaply at least, like: "No it cant be done. all you will have is this!", so i can cry alone in a corner ?????? hahahaha

Hello fellow defender,

as requested.... No it cant be done. all you will have is this!

I find it unlikely that they will introduce new storage options or allow the purchase of more bags than they already allow.

It seems you are at a point where you need to decide what you really need to keep and what not.

Personally I have nearly 1k hours play time and max bags and vaults and I have not had a problem with storage yet.. only keep shards that I will need gilded and mods that are decent.

Sadly this is not going to happen, many of us have requested this for a long time ago, Trendy had a plan for inventory improvements but things changed after Chromatic took over. Chromatic are more focus on DDA atm so don't expect any changes for DD2

Yeah, the injustice of our inventory bag murder due to shard gilding was never accounted for or made right. Pages and pages and PAGES of shards... I have begged for either shard stacking (which coding wise cannot be done), partial shard upgrading, or more bags..,none of which of course ever happened. 😥

I have close to 2k hours in play time, 63 resets right now and this is been a problem bcuz I don't really want to upgrade my gear, so I'm saving it, have like 5 banks full of 10/10 mods, 2 full of guilded shards 1 full of rare pets that I don't want to sell or discard. And I still want to guild a lot of shards, that's prob why I'm having this little bag space.

I'm the kind of collector player. So that's why I need more bags hahaa

It can be done, but takes ages since I have to sell a lot of items and manage my bags every end of the map.

Partial shard upgrading could be amazing lol

I've not bought any bags nor the material vault. I wanted to collect as well, but if you are needing room, collecting is something that you have to disregard.

Trendmatic is focusing on DDA. The requests for extra bags is very old. It is important you make the best you of your space; selling more frequently and letting go of things you do not need

Knowing that little will change until after DDA launches, I think you folks are right to plan ahead for the time when that won't be as much of an obstacle. I think Jaws really hit on something there. Since gilding helped to make the storage situation worse, maybe we could co-opt the existing shard dusting system to improve it. Maybe make gilding require either 10 of the same shard or a massive amount of dust?

I remember Jaws suggested a great idea, convert Shard Dust into Defender Medals,

Dust aside because there is a vault for it, they already have a system that could be reborn to help with shards for overly greedy players. Way back in time they had shards in gear, then they decided it was time to give them their own slots. Back then people had hundreds of shards slotted into gear to save on space so anyone who didnt have room for them when they were forcefully ejected had shards put in a containment item that held 15 shards each. These could easily be remade to be used to package shards at a cost of DM/gems.

I have many other little things like this on standby, Im just waiting for them to finish DDA and freeing up time to implement something into DD2 before making a thread so it is not lost to the sands of time and a mountain of DDA threads.

Well the DDA posts are slowing down but CG's focus is still DDA so I havent decided it is time yet. During the beta though both DD1 and 2 got a bump of players, so I wouldnt go as far as dead. Ive even seen new streamers popping up for DD2 (Idk about DD1). Its almost a good time, just gotta watch and wait to see if there are anymore bumps in the road that will take their attention.

I have seen a plethora of new players on PS4 DD2. Plethora being, I used to recognize at least half of the players, now I recognize about two to three per server (East/West). DDA does not look interesting so it's possible that DD2's free-to-play model resounds more fervently than DDA's attempt to garner interest. When you are on your 4th (maybe 5th?) tower defense game, it is your responsibility to provide a top-notch community service experience and with all of the existing issues in DD2, there has been a great display of a lack thereof. Build a hero, build a defense, win a map. DD2 was Trendmatic's opportunity to showcase their understanding of tower defense games and the programming thereof. When the community puts SO MUCH TIME into Treny/Chromatic game's product, and they abandon it with SO many prgramming issues, offenses are to be had. Regardless, DDA will not be as successful as it could have been if Chromatic Games would have seen DD2's quality through to the end. I get it, we all have our own opinions, yet these last two statements rest as fact.

I hear ya, i meant more dead like - fresh content, dev support, reasons to keep playing, endgame anything, etc. More players is of course good, but does not do much for long time players needing any kind of motivation to go on. Even corpses can attract flies and gawkers i guess.

I lost any reason to even login weeks ago. CG took over about 1 year ago...so what did we get in that time? Delayed DDA beta with unannounced exclusive window added on, and DD2 prime maps. Compare to 2018...   Just sad sitting on the sidelines. For me, DD2 has become so boring. I miss when it was fun, with active dev involvement. While making DDA does excuse a lot of the new DD2 stuff issues, it does not make up for how uninvolved CG has been with PR overall. Forum chat is dying if not dead, no streams, slow updates, and online media communications are just frustrating as hell. As a fan of the franchise, i feel snubbed by so much of this. Past feelings of excitement are being replaced with bitterness...   Personally, I'm still debating holding onto my Kickstarter pledge or not. That exclusive window was a really bad idea. Sorry, just rambling on. Ugh...

It does not seem like you are rambling. I believe your convictions rest with the majority of the people that have played since 2015-2016. Their lack of attention (you could have had 1 Q & A session Trendy/Chromatic Games. Look at how the devotion some of your key players and streamers have garnered for your company. When attention is gained your top desire is to have a well-oiled machine. Have a solid mind or two focusing on common themes discussed and desired by respectable players (not saying myself) and bounce the idea off of your project managers. Well, you did this in the beginning, and you did a fantastic job not at all being sarcastic). You realized that some people will, and some people won't like these changes. Then you balance that perceived change into investment). I get it Trendy/Chromatic Games. I am not going to pretend that I understand your struggles with implementing decisions; I do not. I only have an idea. Why don't you have a dev-stream that features your top streamers and long-time devoted players (I will not attend; I am too controversial, I understand (not being sarcastic)). Get yout top floor-climbers in the stream, get your streamers that have garnered mucha attention for you, ZombieWookie (numbers and letters here), Juicebags, and ExGlint, and whomever else...your die-hard players like Marcos, Nictus, Savag_Beast_Mam, Lagmonster, Nigiro_Toro, Hjean, Secret_War_Hmog, AllIZONME, dreamanimel, Jaws, Majean, Luiznho, Achungari, (more, I know), get them on the stream, have a Q & A, about your state of mind with DD2 and DDA; open and honest. Ask your players and streamers what changes and desired add-ons, and levels, adjustments, bugs, desired features..ascension level/AP reset level benefits. New gear, high level dungeons with high level benefits? Zones only attainable with certain ascension/AP power/Hero power levels achieved, either all together or separate level rewuirements. And so on.

You all just disappeared.

I second Lotus to on the part where you aren't rambling too, Jaws. These are totally warranted feelings. It definitely indeed sucks a lot that the game we're so invested in just got sidelined. Which I'll admit (now) that's the no.1 reason I was salty with DDA's existence in the first place back in March as it just came out of the blue while I was quite looking forward to see what more expansions is coming in 2019 and as a result of DDA, that never happened. Though the reason for this is logical (DDA in development), there are some feelings that you just can't scrub off just like that.

I really hope the new community manager kicks-ass, however I'm kinda worried she'll just be focusing on DDA. I hope that will never be the case.

And I'm also going to add that I have recently discovered that DDA's min req is Win10 and unfortunately, I'm not Win10. So that means I can't be involved even more with DDA anytime soon. (I was trying to be optimistic these past few months in the dev updates about DDA. But , again, there are some feelings that you can't scrub off.)

I'll be sticking to DD2 even more and I'm still strongly holding out hope that there still a future for DD2 (to restore it to it's former glory) and of course, that can only last for so long.

Currently the DDA Beta works fine with Windows 7 hopefully it will continue to do so...

Wow, definitely didn't know that! Hopefully it will continue to indeed! I do want to try out playing DDA without specifically buying a new PC for it since I don't think I can get one in my forseeable future (at the moment).
