Hello, i have a question about ascensions rr farming

My first ascension power was at floor 84... my 4 one was at 170.. so basically for 5 i need to go 190-200.. and also i had 2k ascension level..

The problem? Well i seen so many players who reset after 2-3days.. that guys that have 1000 ascension levels and 20+ restarts.. so i was thinking.. how they do that? I mean i dont think they go from floor 30 to 200-400 in 2-3 days.

So i joined a party with a guy like that.. he told me that he will reset at floor 50.. he care only for multiple resets.. not about max floor and how much his ascension lvl is

So i did that.. rr at floor 100..not 190-200 how i wanted.. cuz it was too boring to go there again.. and my ascension level went from 2040 to 1860.. so right now i understand that why many good players barely have 2k ascension lvls.. many do the same trick right? Reset as fast u can.. in time u will get more gold and exp and will be easier when u maybe will stop this

Im at power 5.. i want to go to 15 and stop.. i need only 15 resets.. but im afraid that probably this ,,trick" will go me to ascension level really 500-600..

Can anyone explain me better how to reset fast and what to really look for?

I dont want to waste 15-20 m for every restart.. i know is a looong loong way but i dont think everyone go everytime at 200-500+ onslaught for 1 reset -.-

Its because you have a minimum ascension of 1860 therefore everytime you reset you will always be 1860.  You increase your minimum ascension by climbing higher floors than you previously reached or by earning experience beyond your previous highest ascension. So you would need to complete floor 171 or get up to 2050 ascension before you will see an increase to your minimum of 1860.

Yes until you surpass the last floor before you reset it will always be the same asc. It’s a long road ahead so do what I do grab lots of coffee and Gatorade bottle. Rinse and repeat. The Gatorade bottles are for washroom never on empty coffe cup cause it has no led. And it may spill and it’s just not good. It’s also wise to have a bottle of febrese bottle spray to keep you smelling fresh. Good luck I’ve share you some top secret stuff to save the wasted time which also a waste if you realize once. But there you go

One of the keys is the 5% exp/gold multiplier does not increase, no matter your floor or level - so many reset as soon as they can to get that flat bonus per a reset cycle. From there, you also only get 1 ascension reset point to put into any category, so again that amount does not change, so more resets = more points (and more power/range for your defs). Then it's about hitting those 999 talent caps. Most of the reset philosophy is set around maxing talents caps in as little time as possible. Mostly due to the incomprehensible boredom of this (uneeded) task.

Keep in mind that current players have shown that absolutely everything in DD2 thus far can be done without ever resetting...so this is a choice you want to make, not need to do.

Me? I'm at zero, and proud. I refuse to reset my entire item collection to campaign level, when almost everything is at c7 right now. I've studied it carefully, and it's not for me...,yet at least. They fix the inventory issue, and i may partake...or out of sheer boredom before i delete the game.

Andrew, most of the people who have reset multiple times (20+) have left the game; most. I hardly see high-level-AP-resetters on the game anymore. It is an incredibly boring and non-rewarding vs. the effort process. Farming pristine motes to build medallions to a sturdy c8 is much more rewarding and fun. It also teaches you a great deal about what you are capable of versus the rulesets.

I've not done any resets either and I'm climbing in a strong way, save the Lost Temple. With all of it's stagnant lagging, it's like old school Mastery; changing out shards and medallions to reduce the lag.

Haha I play on ps4 and for some reason all the people that I see has at least 40 plus reset I’m not sure in other systems I’m only on my 24th I think and yea I’m getting bored but we’ll see either get bored or have it all whichever I fell wins . It would be nice to have a pvp on this game just to see how much strong you are

Neo, I'd probably one-shot  you if PvP were actually possible, and based off of gear, somehow. All of my c8 5/5 medallions, 10 of them are either maxed or within 200 of the max. I'm old school. Look at all of the old leaderboards, who's left? Can you name ten 40+ ascended that still play frequently? I hardly see anyone of that level on PS4, and maybe two from the ascension leaderboards.

I was doing Mastery when there were no guilded shards and no mods. Beat it each week...long ago. Was doing Onslaught when it was three maps to a floor (you lose, then back to the first map) no retries, no re-rolls, was the 1st on Ps4 to hit floor 200, second place was 161 (Hmog or Kihi). I was on a good path to catch Marcos (steam)and Alleyezonme (xbox). The Lost Temple was glitching so hard, Trendy (Chromatic) could not ever get PS4 fixed. I quit for well over a year and came back to mods and such. Now I'm rolling, and only offering Andrew advice based off of a lot of experience and feedback from other people that have Ascended 70+ times. I only know of you because you seem to be the luckiest mod 10 getter in the game. You can find me in many spots on the old leaderboards. My ascension is currently 3800+ with no resets.

Peace.

I just did 18 AP resets starting on September 18th till October 12th , but i've decided  to make a floor push for the Ascension to break up the resets.  I AP reset the 1st time at floor 80, and now i'm craving Ascension and a more engaging gameplay.  I'm shooting for floor 300 and then i'll hit the AP grind again until 30 resets and then i'll probably stop and try to make another push.

It cost me a lot of gold to break it up, but i think it's worth it.

Xbox player, goals of rising on the leaderboards.

In my opinion, the first time you reset, you need to get to as high an Onslaught floor as you can get to. That way your min ascension level, which will never change, is as high as possible, making the climb back up to the minimum floor you need to reset again much easier. After that first high-as-you-can reset, then just reset every time you can for the point.

That's what I'm doing now, I'm not that far along, but my last reset was at floor 60. Next should be a couple floors higher, on up to floor 80ish as the min at which point I should have all the AP abilities if I did the math correctly. (Or DDA comes out and I switch to that, LOL).

I really needed to mod my gear, and campaign level was so much more efficient...in reality, i should have waited to floor 200 or so, my friend got to 292 and did his first reset and now he's got over 3k ascension.

I went to floor 80, so i only had to redo like 20 floors...i'm sitting at like 114 now, just 186 more to go.

Ha ha you probably can op me I think, since your veteran no doubt, I’m no where near that ascension, but I’m also confident I can beat you too but too bad we won’t find out because there is no pvp. But know it seems like you wanted pvp just a bit.

Not interested in PvP at all. I don't see how it would work. If I want to fight someone I'd choose a Call of Duty. How can you be confident at beating me in a game where PvP does not exist, nor is it even structured for that type of format? I'm only interested in getting as many floors under my belt as I can and then moving on.

Its not a hard to think about ideas around it..Could be a dispute involving who does beat the map with less time/du/deaths or tryes on the attempt and everything give you some score and who has a better one wins.

Having the two the right to do 1or2 bans and restrictions could be something to make a challenge rather than just two players doing the same build that is meta which is boring on a "competition"

Overall, just need to film the match lol.

This game just dont have the right game mode i believe.

Prime incursion is maybe the better but idk.
