Events how can i participate in them?

I heard that events were being hosted but how do I get into these events? I know that events in any game can give you a special reward and usually the reward is something pretty useful since im still fairly new i would like to get into these events. All 8 of my characters are now 70+ and have almost all accomplishments done only needing 6 more. Im on Xbox 360, and my gamertag is same as my username Lord Laxas

Step 1; play on pc. (windows, linux doesnt have events either)

i dont have dungeon defenders on pc and I do not know what linux is sorry but I was told there were events on Xbox 360 how do i participate in them who even hosts the events?

There were console events years ago, but there aren't anymore.

Well, Im a little bummed about that I did get to see some of the event pets that a player, a friend had but ok thanks.
