Derpenfrost no brazier challenge:)

Here is a challenge for you all, that only came to be, because of me derping. 

So when Drakenfrost update arrived, I did the secret on the map, and afterwards I kinda forgot all about that map and about lighting the braziers. 

Days go by. 

Then comes the Dragon patch. 

Me:  "Wow!!! Trendy really upped their game on these bosses. This is actually turning out to be quite a challenge. Oh, man that Frost dragon really freezes s*** over... wow I guess this is all about placement. Hmmm... finally some strategy is involved. *Massively Digging It* 

Not even realizing I´m making the map harder on myself, by not lighting a single brazier and thus melting the frozen defenses. 

                                                           SO now I challenge thee!

Rules: 

• C7.
• Solo. 
• No retry from wave. 
• No Tenacity mods on defenses 
  
• Don´t light a single brazier.

(This will probably cause no problems for advanced players, but still it makes it a litte more of a challenge, If one is so inclined)

Tenacity works? Seriously? Oh, dang it does, just tested it. 

One would think the boss mechanic would override the Tenacity. 

Well, I didn´t use any Tenacity when creating the challenge, and since not everybody has a perfect Tenacity, I´ll just add that to the rules:) 

Ask and you shall receive! Just uploaded wave 5 and 6 to save upload file size, but gets the point across. Not onslaught feasible, but C7 no problem.

Wow, you sir are a real defender! 

We each have many of the same spots, but we also each have some the other doesn´t. Difference is I used other defenses and used way less DU. (240 DU total)

If anyone´s interested, I´ll upload a vid with my minimal DU build:)

none of my defences have tenacity i play the who can actually live long enough to disable my defences game with wep man and bees so first few attempts i got smashed had no clue what i was doing finally worked out how to light fires with what i had which was everything just not on any of the chars, all in my bank but i got it done eventually

I think ill find another build that does feel as cheesy and could be used for c7 spamming when or if they fix the tenacity thing.

That is such a cool setup! So that´s why you mentioned the trees when I joined your map:) And now I also get why you asked how much DU I used on my PDT build (240)

I used a similar setup on the Colossus once (automation-expl. shielding guard- accumulator mod), but didn´t think about using it on a non attacking defence:)

Very Nice indeed, and that 170 DU will be hard to beat for sure!

Man, I had a 160 DU epic video of me hanging on by a thread DPS ing two lanes while also checking other lanes, but the game crashed on me, when the boss was about to arrive..:( 

The crash made the video unreadable with media player...

Hope the crashes will be fixed soon...

Question why did the trees not get frozen? Automation do that? My trees get frozen and 1 shot

Thanks. I owe most of the credit to King who showed me a trees only UC run a few months ago.

You seem to be well on your way if you can do 160 du :)

From what i can tell its the automation shard doing it yes

Im pretty sure the automation shard is working like a 10/10 tenacity atm for some reason

not really practical for a reset 4mill gold just for 2 shards and just shy of 2k assention i've never even gotten that high was cool to watch but

would love to use all my mastery shards thankfully vicious strikes works out worse then guilded range but cant escape the 2mill of max destruction

cant really afford any of the rest would use boot shard and explosive shielding but doing any more then 1 mastery shard is too expensive its so sad i love them all and havent used any but vicious and max after starting my ap grind

I feel like someone will call this unfair if I did this challenge......so I put as many punishments on me as possible :P

The start of the match is a little further in because I had to go over a few more defense relics and my bow :)

I did notice something weird though, towers seem to follow a different rule about the freeze zones than auras as there were some places I could get a PDT, Cannon, or Serpent coil but I couldn't place a Flame Aura, Sand Trap, or any aura lol

Fun stuff though, +1 for challenge idea
