Stopped playing X+ months ago, yet I'm rank X on PC

As a player since the game was not even on Steam, one of the first 500 or so player to play this game.

"Play"

The game has improved immensely over the years, mostly for the good..

Going from spamming Cannonball towers and Fireball towers;
to Serenity Aura cheesing >

Then to the Frosty Trap meta.

Then to the Archer meta..

Then to the 1 year of PDT meta.... nice balance work!

Anyway any of that don't matter now..

Last patch I looked up the notes on, TE said, We asked for harder content.

Yes we did, years ago, when we didn't have an infinite reset loop.

Not that I personally wanted that, but I went ahead and did it anyway,

78 Times, before the rework,,

Content got harder, good job.

Reset content got harder.

Suddenly we had bosses spawn on every lane! Nice,,,

Not mentioning any of the bugs leading to leaks, wrong pathing and so on..

Yet the best feature of the "expansion" did not work on the 1 map you would want it on, or ever need it...

I didn't check the Leader board in many months... I was expecting , to be down to 20-30, but I  can't say I'm surprised to be still number 8 from my personal experience with the new system..

TL;DR: I'm a filthy casual, resets are too annoying now.

Okay I'm lost, are you congratulating them on making things harder or upset because it's not hard enough :thinking:

I did 78 resets prior to the patch, screenshot was taken today.

not that it makes much sense but some aspects were easier before - like just get any c7 relic and continue on your way but its more the shift in starting floors 1-35 easy mode now after you get 25 or so power you have to do 30-80 which needs decent mods and numerous towers well for me anyway

I mean... they made resets harder, but didn't add any major incentive to doing them, and refuse to remove what keeps many players from doing them at all. They've made people less likely to play AP, not more.

This is dd2 my friend lots to grind out. Me personally this patch I went from ap 7 to ap 36 now. I'm averaging 1 ap every other day or so now that I finally got everything set. I do have  a tendency to drop back to help a friend ap aswell adding now an extra 10-15 maps needing to be done. But really there's much more to grind out . good mods, shards to gild, a starting high min asc. Not everyone  has been playing as long as the top players.

If it was 6 months to today, you were AP 3 at that time, which you would not be on the leaderboard at all currently.

i guess it just seemed 6 months to  him / i would ap reset  alot more and grind more onslaught but ive got my caps maxed and cost to much to reset and onslaught doesn't give enough experience to grind 

as a fellow DD2 addict i can confirm 2 months away from the game feels like 6 months  

AP resets have gone from tedious but simple and quick when you did it to very time consuming once you hit about AP 25.   So it's no surprise that people aren't pushing AP resets especially as once you get to about 30 the bonuses aren't really much use.

Yea, I lose sense of time when it come to DD2 tbh, its been out so long, so many different stages.. and so on..

Was that I was annoyed TE made resets harder,

I did not ask for them to be harder, they were annoying enough as it was.

I did ask though for floor scaling to get harder, but personally  that scaling should of been kept past the point of resets.

As someone that Started doing them Recently and now am at 28... it definitely seems like they don’t want people to Prestige  especially after this recent update.  I have no desire to keep going myself, the Incursion on Onslaught is not fun, it’s annoying😄. I will get to 29, only for the Blue Gold symbol, not because I will get anything good out of it .

Resets got slower for sure compared to before, but i wouldn't say that it got harder per se. It's more like you required to be abit prepared for some certain situations like boss waves. Which can be achieved by using a defense for specialy it.

Though i do hear from quit a few people complaints about the difficult, specialy of the boss waves and the newly added frost keep map in onslaught. I personaly find these extremly challenging on high floors too but rewarding when i can overcome them somehow. The frustrating part are more duo to the dragon spawning bug on frostkeep though. Where sometimes even 2 dragon spawn at the same time making it incredible hard.

I miss you alot though Pandy gobu. If you come back Mama and gobu are waiting for you in a special room =).

I More or less will be doing resets eventually once I get my gear fully gilded, full dps gilded, at least one full tower builder etc, just trying to find the shards I need, but when it comes down to it I’m having a pain get def rate, destruction and deadly strikes, think I about 50- 70 chaos IV shards and didn’t even get one. Finally got another after another like 50+ but it’s painful afking low tier content even when I do stupid builds to try and make it fun. I really just want to climb onslaught and I recently hit 150. But nothing seems very difficult chaos wise now. And to my dismay numerous times I was enjoying myself on 4 troll characters in my hero deck and didn’t pay attention and the new boss spawned in after I had the max win bonus. Well it turns out when you don’t have a way to ignite him you lose instantly. Needless to say I’ve lost countless win rate bonus shards cause of that boss for the sake of entertaining myself. 😑
