Boost aura needs a buff

or at least a reduction in du cost, i just don't understand why it's 40, it costing more than the flame aura is a joke it's boost are not worth it and the slow is useless because the things you want slowed are immune to it.

even the range on it is bad it should cost 20 du at most

Completely agree.  Even with the mods to allow it to cause damage its just not worth it.  Buff beam needs the same love.

I would like heal back (as it was on a serenity before) and hero damage boost mod for a hero standing on it..... cheers!

I'd like to see them review more than just Boost Aura.

yeah quite a few need to be looked at but the boost aura is the weakest defence for the amount of du it cost in the whole game

Nah. There is a defense that is so bad that many completely forget it even exists in the game: buff beam. Then you got harpies and things like Arcane Barrier that are straight up useless or outclassed.

There are viable builds for boost auras currently. This isn't the case for some other defenses.

Defenses that need a review/change.

Boost aura, Buff beam, Harpies, Training dummy? Arcane Barrier. Any other defenses that need a review?

As well as bringing out new content, it would be great if these defenses get looked at.

Don't forget Maws of the Earth Drake too! With the Ancient Power resets I think I would like to use other defenses rather than depending on the top tier ones to stay fresh.

Probably Geyser Traps do need to be looked at too. I don't see them that useful compare to others either.

I think a lot of high end players will disagree with you on Boost Aura.  Unfortunately, it needs Destructive Pylon (from Mastery) to make it worth using over another offensive defense.

While powerful, Destructive pylon is not irreplaceable. A normal or gilded Destruction shard can take its place rather easily and still be very potent. While Trendy and I very much enjoy these posts I know they know that this defense is not getting any buffs. This thing is far too powerful as is and would definitely need a big drawback if they buffed it. 

I recently laid out a detailed explanation of how this defense worked on a google doc using all c7 stuff and no gilded shards on a Flame Aura with all c7 stuff and no gilded shards, without the Boost Aura it had 736,727 dps and with the Boost Aura it had 1,215,182 dps. That is with both Mass and Destructive Pylon and 5 points into Ancient Power for Defense Power. Without hyper shards, Ancient power, or Boost Aura you are looking at 527,924 dps on that Flame Aura and with Boost Aura having only a normal Destruction shard (in place of destructive pylon) it bumps to 738,322 dps. That's still a 40% increase to your original dps, and with hyper shards and Ancient Power it was a 65% increase to dps. 

The key to it isn't the singular defense, when you have 4 defenses down and place a Boost Aura on it its an overall gain of (4x40%) 160% without all the fancy stuff or (4x65%) 260% with all of it. Goodluck placing a single tower to cover the same bonus (not to mention a 5th defense would add to the increase).

Although it's no longer necessary to buff it...I still wish for it to be called "Serenity-Boost Aura" or "Boost Aura of Serenity". When there's a polearm called "Staff of Serenity", it doesn't seem right for the defense it's based on to be just called "Boost Aura".

Besides, "Maws of the Earth Drake" or "Blaze Balloon" are cool names, so this should be all right.

Yes. Contrary to tooltip it does stack with destruction and mass destruction.
