$10 PSN for anyone who convinces me to Ancient Power - CONCLUDED

Because AP gives you abilities that can free up slots for your other towers/shards.

For example, Def Rate, I've maxed out my Earthshatter tower on Def rate with a Maxed out shard, and a small mod slot, now if I take a Def Rate as an AP then I can get rid of that mode slot and replace it with something else.

You may have the best gear but compare you to other stronger players with AP you soon realize how strong AP is.

Also, I've AP rested last week and almost back on c7n gear and that's without committing some major time in it. So the climb back up isn't as hard as people make it out to be and each rest you gain more gold,exp and talent caps which in the end I think is about 345%x exp and gold?

First off keep me outta your drawing. Just chiming in here but as far as ap is concerned regular Ascension is almost pointless.  Your minimum Ascension is what you need to concern yourself with. Especially for that first reset. 

If you havnt played a single onslaught floor those 900 levels give you maybe 54 minimum Ascension. That ofcourse is going by the numbers when the game was pre protean shift. I don't know how or if it's been changed. Used to be 60 min for evey 1000 lvls. I havnt payed much attention as my minimum is a bit excessive at 1605

Now depending on what platform you play on and I'd assume since you're offering a psn card it's PlayStation 4. Setting the gear argument aside for a few . If you have a second account on c7 you can easily splitscreen carry yourself back up to a c7 standing. With a minimum 10 maps played and gear trades. Sadly if you have any tinkered gear yes you'll have to buy them back up.

The first 15 ap go quite quickly where you'll only need a few select mods depending on what you build with for me it's cannons fissures and the occasional pdt for controlled burn. Requiring only two peircer mods of any quality to advance. 

Now as for a reason well there are a few helpful powers that are exclusive to the list. Life steal is always helpful, crit chance in hero has noticably increased my gunwitch regen allowing the use of her abilities more frequently. 

It really boils down to what do you want to do in the game ? C7 spam? Push floors? Quit playing ? DD2 is a grind no grind ? Why play? Choice is yours

I would if onslaught was the only thing that would reset. I want to plasma! Lol but getting everything again just isnt gnna cut it for me. Maybe if they gave us titles for it or something.

Idk man! Lol the extra slot does sound nice. How many times would you need to prestige to max out defense speed and defense power?

At the moment i just push floors but i dont go super try hard 24/7 push. I was happy i got to top 60 on ps4 leaderboards, idk where im at now. 

I also enjoy helping the community who do not want to be carried all the time. 

Def rate ? I don't think is a power. I think they're referring to range. Ofcourse I e been at work now for almost 2 days and I'm a bit fried. But anyway you can put 5 points into each power so ten to max out 2.

The real power advantage comes from you talent cap increase once you're high enough to use them

There's no real benefit unless you're doing it multiple times. The thing is, it has never been a better time to use the system considering how much easier it has gotten to get into it. That's not a reason to do it, that's very subjective. The thing is, grinding C7 difficulty once you've been there for a while is kinda boring after a bit. It's nice just to enjoy the climb again sometimes.

A week isn't hard? It took me roughly the same too. Here's the thing. A week is a lot of hours and investment. If you somehow can't see that, you can't try to suggest that it's "not hard" or requires no "major time".

The first 5 or so cam be slow. But I don't understand a week? Play you highest onslaught floor to jump start your gear. I started the isle of dead update at. Ap 7 did the first 4 next ap all in one day. If you're concerned about you gear or mods then ap will be expensive and time consuming. 

At ap 8 I started at c6 in onslaught.  played my highst lvl of onslaught then traded over gear tbat my alt got To get to c7. Once you start c7 it's all down hill from there. The only thing that really takes time is farmig out a few necessary mods that appear on your relics naturally. That way when you do unlock c7 you can just trade them over and smash out floors

Only ap reset if your planning to do it more than 6 or 7 times otherwise i wouldn't because its not enough increase to justify grinding but its  up to you

I mistakenly did my first reset at 75 min asc so it took a bit longer.

OK yup that will do definitely make the grind much longer. First rule of the ap system push floors as high as possible the first time around 

i make 600k gold every c7 i run and 24 million experience, not APing is your choice but the devs have spent almost a year now fine tuning this system its not going anywhere. If you are done with the game then thats fine, if you want to future proof your account, while progressing your characters then AP. Or dont, congrats on beatin vanilla dd2. maybe go play a different game... go buy mega man 11 instead. In a month fallout 76 is coming..

Yeah i could have easily. I was just eager to AP, have been for ages. I'm actually about to beat Floor 45 in a few minutes :D

Are you talking to me? Lol coming off a lil strong at the end here. Please do not assume i no life this game or that im bored with this game. Im enjoying my time with nba2k19, fortnite, FFX, monster hunter world, overwatch, gta5, friday the 13th, smite but thank you for the suggestions.

Damn 6 or 7 times sounds depressing but then i think about it...if i did it once, might as well prestige as much as possible cause one time aint *** lol is there even a limit to ascending?
