Regarding Omega waves

If Omega waves are going to be about just minibosses IMO it is all about threat level and priority.

We all can focus down 1,2 or 3 bosses but more may require teamwork.

IMO the threat level from worst to easiest goes

Battle Master (as long as she doesn't get stuck in spawn, then she's plain annoying)

Gnash cos she's fast

Tuskar cos of trollblood

Yeti

Griblok

Quibly

Thorc (depending on your build)

The Javelin thrower forgot his name, dependent on where he spawns

Malthius

Slekeleon, depending on which wave

Plagueing hulk

Geode Prime

Goblin Roller, just cos it's sooooo sloooooow and doesn't remove ground based towers like it used to.

So unless you get any of the top 5 you are on easy street.

yay, a reason to build barricades again! (aside of power pylon ofc)

just 1 question: how does the dmg reflect action of battle master work? i only see her instantly killed at spawn or stuck in spawn -.-

how does it get activated and what defenses are affected?

She does an animation(that you can interrupt) then gains a shield. Anything that attacks her then takes damage based on damage dealt.

It only damages defenses that can be damaged in normal ways.

how long does the shild last? i had her stuck in spawn and legit everytime i tried to hit her, i got instakilled -.-

but if omega waves are just bosses, what the cybork is going to happen, when i get 2 bastille masters?!

sounds like being forced to build aura/wm + barricade -.-

I see it as an inventive way to push players to really have to focus and adapt which i like! It would be interesting/challenging if each boss that came out had a different modifier to make you switch up build/play style.

She does an animation and then generates a orangey shield on her and nearby mobs. They will still take full damage from everything, but will reflect 100% of the damage back at the source too. It CAN destroy every defense that deals damage, including weapon manufacturers.

Sometimes however it bugs out and will not reflect damage. Not all bugs are bad Emoji_GobHuntress.png

but that is super frustrating, bad design!

luckily i just dont play to much onslaught, and when i just focusfire this monster down.

this monster is completly broken, it just does 1 of 3 things:

1. die instantly when out of spawn

2. stays stucks in spawn and oneshots your heros, when trying to kill it

3. destroys all your defenses in that lane.

she is the only boss that actually needs nerfs (destroys earth shatter across the map, why?!).

all other bosses are rather weak.

Yeah bastille master with her thorns buff is incredibly annoying.  She's pretty hard-countered by Bees, the only defense I know of that she can't thorns to death, but in my weapon-man-only-AP-builds she is a real terror.  She either gets stuck in spawn or I pray that my WMs stunlock her before she puts up her aura =S

Having said that, I hestitate to declare her in need of a nerf.  She's a boss you need to actually be concerned about, which is more than you can say about most other bosses lets be honest =)

Yeah, I definitely agree she's a terror indeed which is a needed trait for bosses :)

Perhaps it could be made that an Omega Wave can only have a max of one Bastille Master?

If I was doing it I would have a threat point system and a total threat points that can be in any Omega wave.

So you could have a whole raft of plaguing hulks cos they are so slow they pose no threat, but fewer Battle Master, Gnash, Gribloks etc.

Would be nice to see Saatch, Steiner and Sturgiss make a comeback.

Yeah Paloverde, really hope Bastille is limited to one.  

Still, even if she isn't, I can replace her lanes with nothing but Bees and Blockades, so it shouldn't be unmanagable.

Yes! Definitely that. Though I personally think them and the Wyvern Enthusiast Ogres seriously needs to be buffed with new abilities.

And don't forget Maldonis, Trikk, Treet, the Spooky Heroes and the Golden Whiterbeast (that one needs to be buffed too) too ;)

i say we get over run by bosses. bosses spawning from all lanes and like 20+ bosses total. 5-10 bosses doesnt sound "omega"  we usually deal with 3-5 bosses normally. that pretty easy to deal with. having 2-3 bosses spawning from each wave at once is going to be a challenge.
