I’m not sure if someone has already mentioned this, but with a lack of boot shards... Wouldn’t a double jump shard be awesome for a hero like the Adept?!  I love this game - thanks TE.  I have a blast playing with my son.  We are still working on floor 57, but love the Barbarian and the new Temple map!

I'd love to see new shards in boots indeed...

Double jump can be fun,  i admit playing characters with high mobility (Dryad, Monk, EV) and neglecting others a bit because of that.

What about a Pain Aura shard ? Inflicting damage around you...

Not talking about that Freaking glitched fire shield in Terraria's map :')

I'd even love to see this as an AP reward. DJ for all chars. I would reset for that. But a shard is a much better idea. So much unused space on my boots.

Anyway I don't like the idea of double jump on the other heroes, they're not acrobatic enough to pull it off.

HOWEVER

I would like to see things that could improve their jumps when doing a double-jump action. E.g. Apprentice / Adept could have a Staff Vault shard where they use the magic in their staff to make them leap further than a normal jump. Squire could use a Captain America-style Shield Ricochet to get a higher jump, Huntress could use a Rope Swing to gain height / distance, Abyss Lord could Ride the Siphoned Souls like a wave or column, EV2 already has Decoy to gain incredible jump, Lavamancer could use an Explosive Eruption that blows him up into the air, Mystic could use Snakes and Ladders, Barbarian already has his right-click leap.

how about...
"Angel Feet" -Hero is healed for X% over Y seconds every time they jump.
"Spring Shoes" -Hero jumps X% higher
"Brand-Spankin'-New Kicks" Enemies are dazzled by your shiny new kicks, and are stunned for X seconds every time you jump.

None of these are confirmed, mind you. Ideation is just fun. Ya'll got any more? Feel free to share!

Love the Spring Shoes idea. It should bump you enough so that your hero can at least jump over any of the Hero built towers (i.e. Trees, Obelisks, and Volcanoes). Characters with double jump should not get it though. 


How about some more ideas: 

"Like a Butterfly" - your character stops at the top of their jump for X sec. and floats (would allow melee fighters to whack at air enemies)

"Sole Shield" - take reduced damage while jumping

"Beat by Feet" - when you jump, bombs drop below you for XXX% ability damage

"Saved by the bell" - triple pressing jump causes you to respawn from the sky in your same location, this would have a large cool-down timer, my thought is a way to get out of accidentally jumping down holes on the map.

Stone shoes - no knock back

Float shoes - hover (like the cloud the monk rides with his power surge weapon)

Silent shoes- doubles the time before assassins can find you (when you have the purple smoke around you -so you can drop counters if needed)

Bare Bear foot - physical damage when you jump on enemies

Just for fun, as always- excited for the next developments!

Trendy I just want my squire/mage/robot to be able to jump over my stupid Obelisks ;_; Double Jump would be amazing (upgrade for triple/quadruple jump would be omfg amazing)  and I guess thsoe that could already double jump would get Shard_number_jumps + 1?  

Even if it's just extra height though it would make life easier when I put an obelisk down on an uphill path and I can't jump over the frickin' thing.

Angel Feet should most definitely be a floating status that prevents the hero from being damaged by earth based damage.

"Karate Kid" - Every X seconds your hero executes a karate kick dealing X% damage to frontal enemies

Now - If you could add an animation for this move also, icing on the cake!

"Power Jump" - Press the "jump button" to jump normal, keep is pressed for a charged up jump. Something in the direction of upto X second charge gives you a y% height/range boost. Can be charged while running to ensure mobility/fluidity of heroes.

Not exactly for shoes, just some general semi op shard ideas.


Last Stand: When you receive a fatal blow, your death is delayed by X seconds, granting you invincibility and reduced ability cost for that period. Increase respawn time by X seconds.

Forbidden Knowledge: Consume X% of your health when using an ability that requires more resources than you currently have. Abilities cast this way have a chance to stun enemies.

Primal Rage: Each enemy killed by your primary attacks grant you a Primal stack, increasing all dealt and received damage by 0.X%. After gaining X amount of Primal stacks you cannot be healed by any means and receive periodic damage. All stacks are lost on death.

Greedy Warrior: Increase your ability and attack power by 0.X% for each green crystal you currently have. Lose X green crystals every second during combat phase.

Gnarly Leaf: After standing still for X seconds, gain X% damage reduction and X mana regeneration per second. Bonus is lost when you start moving again.

Camouflage: Enemies ignore you regardless of your actions. While in their line of sight, defenses have a X% chance to hit you.

Friends ‘Till the End: During combat phase, spawns a random friendly goblin/orc near you every X seconds. Can only have X friend(s) at a time.

Icesplosion: Incoming damage has a X% chance to freeze you and nearby enemies in ice for X seconds.

Ghost Form: Decrease your ability and attack power by X%, but allow you to pass through defenses and enemies. Nearby enemies are slowed down by X%.

Red Button: When your health goes below X%, an explosion occurs, instantly killing you and dealing X% of your attack power as damage in a massive radius.

Beefy Boy: If blockade type defense is nearby, it will receive any damage meant for you, leaving you unharmed. Nearby blockades take X times increased damage.

Echoes from the Past: X% increased knockback. Every time you jump, there is a X% chance an explosion occurs below your feet, launching you higher and further.

Equal Rights: Nearest defense will gain X% bonus damage as a elemental type of your currently equipped weapon.

Bomberman : When you jump, your hero drops a bomb on the ground. When you jump a second time, the bomb explodes, dealing X-Y% of your ability power as damage in a A-B radius.

Yes yes all good ideas yes more boot shards plz.

Ruby slippers ... If u take leathal damage instead teleport back to spawn. 1 activation per round.

Another idea for Stone Shoes: Slows your character down X%, while increasing your characters Defense X%. Also creates a small radius tremor dealing X% of your heros health in damage.

I am glad that this idea is geting more atention... i also want a shard for boots that increase jump height

As Majean said it ... it is a bit unnatural for all characters to double jump... every hero should be unique, and makes them more fun... if all characters are identical than all heroes are just skins for each other.


I know the development team / design team is overloaded with work but i have an idea that might be unique for a new character... regardin this subject of course...  We have characters that do 1 jump, than 2 jumps, than 2 jumps + Fly... what about NO jumps, imagine a floating character similar to mananode that never jumps... but it automaticly adjust height when encountering  walls... just like going on normal stair with any hero. Just an idea, don't criticize too much :P

Not sure if this was put up yet, but i would love to see:

"Run Away" - gain XXX HP for each step taken

This way, when you bail from a fight, you are healing as you do so, to further your chances of surviving.
