Hi, everyone!  I have a couple notes for people who are practicing the map before the event itself:

1. The map has been updated to fix a crash on wave 16 that some players reported.  If you had problems, please try the map again and tell us if it's fixed.

2. If you see pop-up messages at any point during the map, hold ENTER until they go away.  Only the host sees these messages, so during the event itself it won't be a problem.  IMPORTANT: If you're in full-screen mode, you won't see the pop-ups, but it will wait for you to hold down the ENTER key anyway!  So if it seems like the game is freezing, just hold down ENTER until the game continues.

I would love to join unfortunately I am leaving for a 2 week trip today so I won't be able to participate in the event. Can someone post a picture of the event rewards?

You can add:

And have them run you the event later when you are available if you won't be able to do it today.
They can run the event later for people who inform about missing the event in advance. I've ran it later couple of times myself.

Mandatory new player post:
As always as there are a few first-timers for this event, here are few tips/tricks/must-knows on how to run the event:

• Download the map and test it out in OPEN MODE once whether it works for you or not. 
• Then, join the group chat on this group: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/PcCommunityEventsGroup
• Refer to the following image in case you do not know how to join group chats -- http://i.imgur.com/doy0RYF.png
• Then restart the game and go into OPEN MODE(but don't load into any map/lobby) and wait for an Event Host to call you up if they have a spot free.
• Event Hosts can be identified by a silver or golden  (star) besides their name in the members list in the group chat left side.
• If you wish to use your existing gear from RANKED MODE in OPEN MODE, you can do so by exporting your data.

That happens after running some workshop maps and you try to join another player's game.  We havent figured out why it does that.  Just restart DD and it should go away.

I think it would also be a nice habit to have screen shots of the rewards in the event thread (probably in the first post).  So when you go back to the thread, you can see what the reward was.  I don't usually get free time on the weekends to do events but I still like to know what was given out.  Last time there was an event and I couldn't do it and then people started talking about a Queen something and Gaia's something and I had no clue what they were.  It's a nice way to keep everyone up to speed.

But I also think it could motivate people who may be more loner's to give it a try if they see a cool reward.

Why do you seem to dead set against posting pictures?  The only logical guess would be you are afraid of hackers.  Is that really it?

I think as a community you would want things to be known.  If you are worried about hackers (not sure exactly why though since they can hack up stuff a lot better than event items) have pictures without the stats but at least having pictures of the item with a brief description of what is special about them.
