WavingHat 0 Posted September 10, 2017 @Ubara-tutu quote:Yeah, what exactly would be traded? Shards are about it right now. I suppose perfect gear would be tradeable but it's not really that big of an improvement, not like that missing shard is anyway. I think I said something along these lines in a previous post. Saying that loot would have to be revamped and this awful shard system would have to be undone. So gear would go back to being more important and whole. Rather than getting a piece of gear then needing to farm out the shards to actually complete the set. Idk, kind of a bad, extremely boring system.

Kambien 8 Posted September 13, 2017 Given how easy it is to gear up in DD2 (currently) I don't see how this would be any good.Ā Now if incursion weapons dropped only from incursions, and not the vendor, and were a little more randomized on how beastly they could become, I would say those for trading would be a fine idea.Ā But anything else, including incursion weapons, are so easy to obtain max right now I don't see how trading would benefit the game currently. PandynatorDD 0 Posted September 13, 2017 So.. ally You basicallyĀ want P2W via costume trading for gear? This is the reason I stopped playing pretty much all MMOs.Ā You can butter coat it any way you want, but its a terrible idea.Costumes and skins have no place in trading as long as they are only attainable for gems.Ā

Way to be overly presumptuous. TrendyĀ could take P2W out of the trading aspect by making it so that you can only trade obtained items like cosmetics with other obtained items -- not cosmetics bought with gems, as those would be account bound. There's a reason pretty much all MMOs have trading, so I don't know what you're talking about. It's not as big of a problem as you think it is, and it doesn't have to affect you in any form. The real problem is the lack of a trading system.

Yes, and I don't think you should even be able to buy incursion weapons from the vendor. That makes it too easy.

Argonias 0 Posted September 14, 2017 @Nakhal quote:Trade = Doping easierso plz we dont wanna suffer again since dd1 we farmed and all our staff gone!Do you mean duping?Ā As in duplicating items?Ā If so, it might make duping easier (not that I know how it would even be done currently or when/if trading is put in) but I don't see how it would make you suffer? The biggest negative to trading that I can see would be if hacked items arose again like in DD1.Ā However, from what I understand they implemented DD2 differently to actually make that less possible.Ā Keeping the information server side instead of client side.Ā DD1 was client side, which is why it was so easy for people to generate hacked items and why they became so prevalent, which is also why there was an 'item check thread'.Ā DD2 is server side, I think, which should negate that. ally 0 Posted September 14, 2017 Argonias>less possibleMore like impossible. Even with trading, players will not be able to hack or dupe items. It won't be an issue like in DD1. And there is absolutely no correlation between trading and the duping/hacking of items either way.

And if it really bothers everyone that much, Trendy can just add some gear-trading restrictions, but definitely not remove it altogether.Ā

He did not get to experience how this game is supposed to be played. Of course, progression do need to improve for that to happen. At least Gear Trading Restrictions is much better than unlimited gear Trading.Ā A restriction could be, for example, I'm having a Chaos 5 legendary glove that having hero power, crit and health, but I want one that includes ability power, so I trade mine for that. And only gears that have the same stat number is allowed to traded with each other to counter gear progression by Trading.
Argonias 0 Posted September 14, 2017 Personally I do not see the issue with being able to trade gear to friends to bring them up to your level.Ā If you get a person into the game to play with you, why not bring them up to your level?Ā Arguably you can already but it would take a lot more time and effort.Ā Trading would just make it easier to do.Ā As far as I can tell it wouldn't be a detriment to anyone else that plays if I got a friend in the game to play with me and gave him gear.Ā Heck, it might benefit the game because now that he is geared, he would play more to get the extra content and possibly spend money on costumes he might not have if he had to grind his way up.Ā It could also benefit by allowing people to get to the end game quicker, so that there would be more people running games at the higher difficulties.Ā Who knows, it might end up he helps other people get gear because they enjoy the game.I just do not see the negatives people are bringing up as negatives.Ā The people that get fed gear might actually benefit the game and not be a hindrance.Ā Some of those people might like to build and would for public games, there are so many C7 games I enter and no one wants to build (or knows how to, or has the gear to).Ā

Spank My Neko 0 Posted September 15, 2017 Do new players get a ton of gold now when they start? Or does everyone think that the prices of gear would basically be in the double digits so that it would be easy for them to just buy end game gear? :s
MaJean 7 Posted September 15, 2017 Still this thread huh? Let“s be realistic and bury this topic for the next 6 months and then we can take it up again for consideration. This game is not in a state were trading should be introduced.
