With all the 14 year olds in this game, do you think they would take time to be polite about it? Thats why I suggest a multiple choice for the kicker - just because it feels better getting a reason :)

To be honest, I think the kick option needs to be disabled and turned into a votekick option instead, which can only be activated with more than 2 players in a game. If you make a custom game, you're expecting people to join. You shouldn't be allowed to kick.

This is not fun anymore! Just want to play after a hard day of work and being kicked 9/10 times is not fun!

I think I will just buy 19 additional copies of this game to host 20 games with an auto kick script. Thats gonna be fun! :demon:

There are several things that make this happen:
- You can only name your match once. If someone leaves mid-fight, and you need a specific class/spec, you cant announce it.
- You cant specify/limit what classes are eligible to join
- You cant specify/limit what levels are eligible to join

The match conditions are limited to a one time only text box that isnt updatable. If you are going to implement vote kicking into the game, you need to make sure that its fairy easy to get the correct "audience" for your match so that not every Tom, **** and Harry ranging from 1-70 can join at a whim. Vote kicking then would be just a burden instead.

Yeah thats quite true.

At the moment, I'm just hopping in random medium difficulty games for the teamwork achievement. Not many people complain that a level 70 huntress is joining 3 level 30's :p

You can have all and switch them in game!

Well there are more players in this world than just you, you know... People actually start out at level 1 (or is it 0? =). Maybe you havent ever been kicked from a match without really understanding why, but alot of people have. My suggestions would fix the part about "knowing why", and I also explain why kicks happen so frequently (not enough options to specify the conditions of the match before and during a match).

Me and a friend were doing glitterhelm medium for the gunslinger achievement, we decided to host custom because we figured we could use any extra help covering all the sides. We had a low level monk and huntress join and build auras and traps, when my friend downed an ogre for one of them in like 10 shots, they kept saying how impressive it was rofl.

You ever host a game? Any time I host one, I always let random people join. But you get absolutely flooded with level 20-ish players who just join up, and if you're in the Tavern, sit there silently not responding to anything you say (This happens ALL THE TIME to me.) and then out of nowhere they'll pipe up "We gonna go?"

After about 20 of those guys, you don't feel like typing up another question or explanation. I don't require certain classes, I don't require certain strategies, but I require that you join my INSANE run on your HIGH LEVEL character and RESPOND to me. Failure to do that means insta-kick after the first few times. (I always have the patience to address the first few dudes.)

That is annoying, I never even get the chance to respond, the second I join I'm kicked. If I could switch my class without having to leave the room select, that'd be really nice. Sometimes you see a good game but werent intending to play your high level or your dps mage.

It's ridiculous how some idiots are on this game. Join a room and get kicked at the end so that they can solo the last few levels by themselves. I HATE people that use others just to get some free tower placements. I rarely play custom matches due to this nature.

Ive never seen this actually happen but I imagine it does.

Just so you know, that some people cant join friends private games. Before the "Hide/Show" tab was added some of my friends were unable to join my private games, but could join my public games. If people are still having an issue with it, then this the reason for join = kick, because they couldn't make a private games since their friends were probably unable to join.

A lot of people dont want to be steamrolled through the game with a higher level character. I can understand that it doesnt take long to get to level 70, but a lot of 70's can do over 80k dps. For this problem they could add a level limit when making a session, and if youre looking at custom, you will not see the matches that dont match the level character youre using currently.

Personally they should make it so you can switch your character on the fly while looking at the lobbies.

As i always answer to everyone. Host you own game, simpler.
I always got a Leveling game UP where i build and help everyone level.
My only problem is retards who dont understand a simple sentence: Dont Touch Anything While i build!
I say that everytime some1 join but still there's some moron who join. take ALL your mana.
OR people who take ALL the loot on the floor.
If you do any of those, dont wonder why u get CONSTANTLY kicked.

I only kick people who are jerks or are too low.

I was doing insane alch lab and level 7 joined. What am I supposed to do? I said, "sorry, this is insane, 50+" I'm not gonna let them take up a spot that someone useful might take up. But I don't think you guys are worried about this much anyway.

What Trendy needs to do is allow us to mark the hosts of such games (using their steam ID) on an ignore list, and then either prevent those games from showing or allow us to filter them out based on the hosts of the games.

Edit: Im mostly referring to the join=kick games.

An ignore feature or a reputation system could be amazing. Tied to ones account maybe, repurtation systems seem to keep a lot of people in check.

This is so weird, because lately I've been having an issue with not enough people joining my custom games for me to kick without hesitation. Funny how that works out, huh?

I agree, I too am getting tired of joining a game only to be kicked immediately without reason.

Sorry for bumping this but it's better than creating a new thread. This is getting out of hand. All of these idiots let you stay until the final wave and then just kick you out so they can enjoy their easy insane rewards. Something needs to be done. I understand if there's a valid reason for kicking someone but when they kick you out after you helped place towers? That's just stupid.

I would host my own games more if Trendy's servers were more reliable. I keep disconnecting every so often when I host my own public room. However, when I make my own private room I can do as I please without any trouble.

What could be done is have a level filter so that people over/under a specific level can't join your game. A voting system where more than just the room master has input on someone getting kicked. So much can be done to prevent such idiocy from reoccurring time and time again. I don't know how many games I've joined today that have abused this system.

I just kick people who are idiots and don't follow instructions:

e.g I was helping people while farming animuses @ insane summit and there was this monk that logged in, took all my mana while i was transferring toons to my builder and proceeded to place auras despite me trying to reason with him = auto kick.

People who don't have the decency to reply or cooperate during a free 'carry' run = kick.

Just get a bunch of friends and play, it helps.

I had the exact opposite happen to me on Sunday (yesterday)!

I saw a bunch of Insane Assault runs and thought, "Aw, I feel bad for those guys who can't do it, I'll join and help out!" I join, see 2 people dead and 1 guy with 20 seconds left desperately trying to get the 2nd crystal down, then *kick*. No time to even type, "Hey, I'll do it once to help ya' out" just *kick* and that's it. So I joined the 2nd Insane Assault game and it was 2 guys, one who was well behind on time going after the 2nd crystal (seems to be a recurring theme in these games, people waste too much time on 2nd crystal) and then *kick*.

The last game said, "B>Insane Assault 100k" so I joined, he asked if I'd accept 50k now and 50k after, I said sure and did it. He was so damn happy he paid me 200k more and asked if I'd do it 2 more times. 3 runs later (one death due to someone other than him being an idgit) and he had 3 Blasticus' and I was 300k richer (plus 3 Blasticus!) I ended up giving him 2 of the 3 I had (one was so terrible I sold it to put it out of it's misery), which had 26 ups and over 50 damage with at least 50 ammo on each of 'em. Figured it was better than the 3 crappy ones he got via the RNG.
