Eyedoll 0 Posted July 22, 2017 Hello everyone.I've played this game for about 300 hours since alpha.I really enjoy it, although I don't have too much time to play it.I've started to play again after a 3 month break.I don't know what the last patch did, but game is now unplayble for me.I get crashes constantly. Loading time will be infinite 30% of the time, having to kill the process and restart to play again.Game will randomly crash during defense or just plain freeze, again I have to kill the process. The bad things about that is I can deal with the long loading screens, but when the game crashes when i'am playing and trying to beat C5 (and almost complete it), or when i'am trying to get my sweet 4 consecutive win price, it's just to frustrating. It feels like i'am loosing my time with the game. For infomation, my PC is high end computer (I7 6700k, 16gb, Geforece 1080 + 1 M2 SSD), and I work on IT, so I know what i'am doing. I've tried to lower graphics, of course disabled Vsync, disabled firewall, avast, killed useless process. Even trying to switch to US servers, and connect with a wifi card but nothing fixes the crashes.I really hope this will be fixed soon. but in the meantime if you have any others ideas, please share those with me.Thank you
Fozzie 52 Posted July 22, 2017 Have a look at the log file to see what is going on.What error message do you get? What type of crash with which component?
lekkin007 0 Posted July 22, 2017 Please also make sure to submit a bug report. The more reports Trendy sees the more they will be able to determine how many people are affected and what is causing the issue.
Bubbles 0 Posted July 22, 2017 A few questions for ye: when was the last time the game was installed, do you have it from steam, are you using windows 10, when using windows 10 when was the last time it was refreshed, have you ever defragged your SSD when DD2 was installed(which causes instability so defrag on ssd is bad stuff), is your drive the primary one you use or is dd2 on a raid drive - if so which raid type, is your monitor g-sync freesync or regular, the next time you start the game do a packet loss test or a trace route to see what is going on, and finally does it give you a crash log that specifies what is happening?Just some of the questions that pop up based on what you said
Eyedoll 0 Posted July 24, 2017 Hello thank you for all your answers.I'll try to give a log when i'am back home.@Bubbles quote:A few questions for ye: when was the last time the game was installed, do you have it from steam, are you using windows 10, when using windows 10 when was the last time it was refreshed, have you ever defragged your SSD when DD2 was installed(which causes instability so defrag on ssd is bad stuff), is your drive the primary one you use or is dd2 on a raid drive - if so which raid type, is your monitor g-sync freesync or regular, the next time you start the game do a packet loss test or a trace route to see what is going on, and finally does it give you a crash log that specifies what is happening?Just some of the questions that pop up based on what you said Game has been reinstalled, it's one of the first things I done.I'am having it on steamI'am using W10, it's up to date.I never defrag an SSD, like you said, it's bad.My drive is a secondary one, just for games, system runs on a separate SSDMonitor is 2x Dell P2717h. Afaik no sync. Also tried on another monitor (older), issue persistI'll try the trace route, I don't think it's network related, but worth a try.Crash are various, but usually game either freeze, or crash without any error.I'll try to provide a log, thanks again for help. KamelJabber 0 Posted July 24, 2017 I'm starting to feel your pain. I still haven't reported my issue to the bug site. I would go about a hour or about 4 runs before I had to start the game due to fps and freezing issues. Any longer and it would crash.I could not play at all this weekend because it was crashing a lot. Nothing changed on my PC.That leaves network or graphics settings. I did crank up the graphics quality, I like the view the game in it's full glory. I have a GTX1070, I would think that's sufficient.I'm going to turn the graphics quality of the game all the way down to see if that had anything to do with the crashes. Kambien 8 Posted July 24, 2017 If they / you can run a DXDIAG and submit those to Trendy it would be immensely beneficial.
