patch 1.0.3 question

Is the 4,000 defender medal gift going to be a mailbox item that we can open at any time, or are we going to be credit with 4,000 medals. In other words, do we need to make room for the 4,000 medals with the 12,000 cap?

I'm guessing they are gonna give us the chance to redeem them, so no unannounced medal-giving. Probably a link where we can get a code and redeem it at mailbox, so you have the chance to manage your medals accordingly... I suppose

Or maybe it will overide the limit ? for exemple if you have 11.000/12k , it will raise to 15.000/12.000 (without the possibility to win more until you down under the 12k limit) , idk at all , but anyways i've around 4k for now so it's ok for me , but yeah very good question , i hope someone from the staff should be able to answer us.

I would guess automatically in the maiblox to redeem when you want. It has always been pretty much like that so far. Plus there's the skins to redeem too so it would make a lot of sense that everything appears in the mailbox automatically if you connect during the free items event.

this isnt alot or am i wrong , i like these blockades but having a hard time to cover some areas with them ?!

I'm assuming there is a cap simply to promote people spending them, I could be mistaken

They likely don't want people hording them so they can get every new hero the instant it comes out.  Not sure how much of a problem that is now, but back when we had triple medal bonus weekends, it wouldn't have been difficult to make a nice stockpile for yourself.

I don't think heroes come out enough for that to be a legitimate reason. You can save up ~10K in a month with basic dailies, not including the match bonus for a win. ~300 a day for normal dailies (Sometimes higher or lower), 600 a week for the bonus, and 25 per match I believe. That's 10,800 medals, give or take depending on dailies, in 4 weeks.
