Cannot log in (0688C4124736C7C6034223879E32420D)

I've been unable to play since the recent patch (hotfix from 23d of june), getting the following error that pops up right after it starts loading into a tavern.

"Package 'core' version mismatch [package 0688C4124736C7C6034223879E32420D, info"

I've be able to get in to a game after validating game files through steam, which downloads 1 file. This file gets downloaded even if the app doesn't start though (when validating twice in a row). In between rounds during that game this error popped up again, and I've been unable to get into another game.

I have the same Issue... Every 5th or 6th try to create a Game works

i olso cant cet in and if i do and make a game i get a arror... 

Got the same problem. 
But it seems like its only the EU servers. Changed to USA and its working. Dunno why

I have just downloaded the patch and have the same problem.

It fails for 'go to town' as well as 'private tavern'.  Restarting the game makes no difference.

My default server is the Europe, GER as the nearest, I am located in Austria and play on PC.

IMPORTANT: When I change the reagion to US west I can log into private tavern. I could swap from private tavern to town (by using the doors).

Trying to access the town from the main menu (still US west) leads me to an endless loading screen. (I could already hear the town music). I shut down the game from the task manager and tried it again: US west server, main menu, go to town. This time it worked within less than 10 seconds.

Asian server: works

Now trying Europe, Germany again: works now

Not sure if this was temporarily serversided or my forced shutdown of the game helped. Now I don't have problems logging into any session on any server.

Whoever wants to play but can't: try changing the server region from the options menu and go into private tavern. This may help.

edit: After shutting down the game (from main menu) and restarting a few minutes later I tried to join private tavern with my (default) german server and got the mentioned error message again.

I changed to US west and back to german server: no success

I changed to US west, joined the tavern, went back to main menu, changed to german server, joined tavern: success

What's happening Trendy?? Can't even log in to the game anymore?!

Same Problem here.

Changed Regions from "Default" to "EU", works now.

Update: Error reappeared after one session

Update2: Switching Region and reswitching back works for me (tried multiple times), but trying to load a map causes the error

Update3: EU kicks me out all the time now (trying to load a map), US seems to work fine (tried once)

Update4: Getting the error for EU and AU now, infinite loadscreen for US ... thats it for today folks!

Thanks for the info! They possibly should have put that notice on the in-game splash screen for people who don't use forums like myself. But a definite thanks for the heads-up.

those stop working after a while as well. or a infinate loading screen appears. Well no dd2 this weekend i guess

Played all types of games on the US server, so that works for now.

Try to connect to US Server... Loadscreen since 4 mins.

it worked for like 2 hours and now i get the error again. at options it says US West or nearest. so i guess it wants me to connect to the nearest which is EU for me and that causes the error

Well, switching from the Europe server to the US got me in, though I did get the same message when trying to continue after my first (ever) successful chaos-7 match, so things are still a little dodgy.  Anyway, it is a great improvement on yesterday's message:

And today we get a server maintenance on a Sunday?  Trendy are keeping busy!  I just wish that the option to leave the game worked properly, so that one didn't end up with an error message like this...or is it just me?
