Leaffox 0 Posted May 19, 2017 whats the Idea behind the dryad and her " pylon " ? not only is there a building " limitation zone.. and to get her towers working you again need the tree. so 60DU cost for one hornest tower to work. or 70 for one slime pit.no other hero has limitations on there deffences like that. sure you can get a C4 sharde that makes the building zone bigger, but thats alot of gambleing of deffender medals to hope you get it from the sharde pack. and I have been trying to find out if the tree has a good aggro enogh to be a wall . or is it still squire that has the best walls both HP and aggro wise...any one have any info or insight about the dryad" you must construct additional pylons" ! iAndy 0 Posted May 19, 2017 The tree is not a very good wall by itself, but it will close the gap if a single spike barricade almost reaches the ends of the path. It will heal and buff players that come near it. Since it's a different type of barricade, it's a good barricade to put the health pylon in for the main wall to have more hp. Once you learn the quirky nature of the slime pits, they can be decent defenses, but the rest are kinda meh right now.
geo981010 0 Posted May 19, 2017 Right now a Deadly Strikes shard more than doubles the tree range instead of just +40%, so that helps a lot.Hopefully when they fix the bug with the shard that gives too much range they will fix the tree itself which has way too limited of a range. And I do like the Health and Power Pylons on it, though the range on those is not great. But long enough for Nimbus spam :)
[UMF] Filthylopez 28 Posted May 19, 2017 Mine = Fortification, power pylon, health pylon - it's amazing when coupled with a spike barricade to wall off your lanes. Nimbuses and slimes are actually very usable for a long time while progressing and they also benefit from the pylon shards when placed close enough to the tree :)
Tiamata 0 Posted May 20, 2017 Yea, like everyone else said, use the trees as fillers for spots where one barricade isn't enough. For those spots that only need one barricade and one tree is NOT enough, don't use Dryad towers for those spots. You can also place a MacBufferson sphere in the tree if you have it to further shield your barricades. Random Asian 0 Posted May 21, 2017 Dryad was added in before the Trials Update hit. She was actually pretty powerful so...the Tree Aura limitation was actually not a problem. The Aura also got significantly bigger when upgraded too. Dryad's Defenses as they are now in the Post-Trials update are still strong but just not as effective due to various minor changes.Dryad's Tree has a horrible small hitbox and enemies will easily walk around it. You'd have to place maybe 2 trees for every 1 blockade that you would have used. The only few reasons to use Tree is if you either need a healing tower because Serenity doesn't exist anymore, you need to use Dryad's Defenses, and/or you just want to build a Forest and record Gobu choppin down trees so you can petition something to the Defender's Council. I'd say a Gobu hunting season would be nice.
