senf71 0 Posted March 9, 2017 So it seems everything has changed since the last time I played. I think I want to just start over fresh and play through the game and level up again. That said I am looking for suggestions for a good team set up. I own all the heroes so everything is on the table. I enjoy the EV combat style the best of anyone unless things have changed a bunch on that, so I plan to use her as my DPS character. But I am looking for ideas on what other 3 to put in my deck. I play alone and do not want to swap characters out between waves, just want to have a team of 4 that I can build with then fight the round. And I would like to plan for the endgame, to pick a team that will get me from the start all the way to chaos 5 or what ever it is called now.So things I figure I need. A wall of some kind, Area damage to kill all the little guys, single target damage for the big guys that survive the area damage stuff, and anti air. There is also tower buff things and things to slow enemies and reflect beams and maybe other things I am not thinking of right now to consider but I don't know how important those are. So looking for info on what defense combinations work well to handle all the different stuff the game throws at you with a low enough DU cost that you can cover all the lanes needed. Thanks. :)
iAndy 0 Posted March 9, 2017 It depends on what you want to do.. if you want to play in the end game, currently you need an apprentice. Hopefully they'll fix this so that might not be true after a few patches and other traps will be viable again. One thing to note is it's always been 1 main tower that's been the best overall tower, so it could just be you'll need another type of class, but right now that's apprentice. Hinato 0 Posted March 9, 2017 I'd have to recommend apprentice, mystic, abyss lord and monk.- Apprentice got Flamethrower, which are great for chaos. The freeze tower is almost must have and Earthshatter can be decent, too.- Abyss Lord got Ramster which is also good for chaos. Also he's a great tank for chaos 5.- Mystic for your walls. I don't have him and am using Squire myself. But I hear he's the best one and I'm probably going to buy him next. Snaking Sands and Viper's Fangs also seem to be somewhat viable.- Monk (maybe Huntress with pdt instead) is the goto anti air builder. Also he can do massive damage with pole smash. They seem to be the most viable heroes right now. In chaos EV is in a pretty rough spot right now since all her stuff gets disabled all the time. There should be some changes to enemies and towers in the near future, so the current situation might change drastically within the next weeks.
senf71 0 Posted March 9, 2017 OK thank you for the info. Just a few follow up questions. The monk flame aura and lighting strike aura or what ever they are called seem like the do solid damage in a good area at least in the tavern dummies. I know the lighting one is slow but does a huge damage it seems. Are they viable things to use? I like the idea of auras and photon beams to kill all the small stuff before it even gets to your walls so your single target towers can focus on the big guys. Just trying to find out if they are worth using at all?

Don't forget siege rollers. They like to blow up ground defenses. If you can grind out a range shard (a feat in of itself) you can place auras outside the lane, but yeah - ground defenses aren't in a good spot right now. So hanging back with towers is the way to go right now. Hmm. Well I have other games I am trying to play right now anyway so maybe waiting a couple weeks till they get all the new stuff a little more settled is not a bad idea. Thanks again for the info. iAndy 0 Posted March 9, 2017 Yeah I think siege rollers are a little harder on ground defenses than EMP orcs.. I check the damage dealt on my ground defenses and they are still pretty decent even though there were a ton of orcs. Plus a group of orcs disabling your 20 DU explosive trap is a little nicer than them hitting your wall since if that breaks, it's usually over for you. senf71 0 Posted March 9, 2017 So these siege rollers, they just do damage to auras and beams as they go over them, just destroy them as soon as they touch them? Stop and attack them? Whats the deal?
