tonyrulz92 0 Posted November 19, 2015 So I'm playing Onslaught on SSD. Round 36 the wall on the lane with the sub breaks down because the people who joined decided to afk. Either that or people are idiots and don't know how to repair. Anyways, the sub is destroyed. At this point I know it's game over. Why?It's because of the lane that opens up when the sub is destroyed. That extremely short lane that's a few yards from the main objective. Did you know that if you put a wall up to block that lane, mobs will either throw their bombs or spears while still INSIDE their invincible spawn, or throw right over the wall and straight at the objective. That's not all. This match taught me that it gets even worse. On the sub lane, after it's broken, mobs can go past it a bit, turn right, and shoot straight over the railing and into the main objective. Malthius and his spearmen decided to just shoot the damn thing instead of continuing to go down the lane and into the wall and towers that were set up for it.And if nobody has realized it yet, or if it hasn't been said enough, Onslaught is HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE!!!! I spent 5 (five!) hours to get to round 35. I expected a golden egg every round after that, just like some other people on this board were able to do. I didn't get a gold egg on round 36. And after 5 hours and 36 rounds, my pet only gained 9 pet levels. After realizing that loot drops were freaking terrible, my only goal left was to get a Golden Fairy Creepmother. After this experience, I literally have 0 reason to play this game now. Chappyy 2 Posted November 19, 2015 Sucks that you had AFK players not supporting your build. There seems to be so much "forget the sub cores and lets just build on the crystal". There is nothing wrong with it I guess if you are but I like that you kind of get punished a bit for not building out in the lanes. Diamond Doge 0 Posted November 19, 2015 I completely agree, losing the subcore on SSD essentially forfeits the round. I think it should either be made into a primary core, removed altogether, or the map redesigned to better accommodate an additional lane. The subcore's lane needs to be looked at too. I agree that the main problem is people, but I still think there is a good question here: Should losing the sub-objectives make the rest of the match merely difficult, or impossible to finish? farstad86 0 Posted November 19, 2015 Im kind of curious as i have evry builder and dps in the game as of this moment to why you claim that afkers is the problem of your build i never encountered a problem like this by simply repairing things each round or evry 4 waves its fine..so that means ur afk aswell and dont pay attention to your own stuff? There are a lot of maps with really really short distance between secondary objectives and spwan areas, it would be great if they adjusted objectives position on every map. They don't seem to realize is really really frustrating to lose a secondary objective being almost 1 shotted at nm4 due to a "glitch". (because that's how it feels). If you don't want to reposition them to a "proper" position you could just make them tanks...Wouldn't it be greater is Greystone Plaza left secondary was 2 meters back awayWhat about Liferoot Main core, imagine it 2 mts behind into the base, i dont think it would affect the game that much, it's just more "secure". Sure the sub broke, but I could have kept going for another round or more, if not for the short lane and mobs attacking the main directly instead of walking their path. It's also exactly the same problem the first spooky map had and they fixed it the week of release - so the map/dev/bug/whoever team acknowledges that is poor design in need of fixing.Except siphon site D and greystone have been the same for ages.. I just kind of play around it but there is no doubt it's a problem and the team responsible has demonstrated they're against that kind of mechanic. I tend to just go overboard with defenses for those lanes though and with the loss of DU I solo the other longer lanes......well attempt to. On the harder levels it's pretty tricky.
