smart loot, controlled loot

I have no apprentice. I find 2-3 chilling touch a day in average. My mate has no monk. He find legendary polearm only, 2-3 a day.

What is the game telling me? Create a apprentice, buy the slot? Its really no fun. I am searching purge evil and find 1 in a week and my mate tells me once per round he got one and he is searching for that chilling touch and i find this one several times per day. I think about to delete my monk to find some purge evil weapons.

Why i find this same legendary over and over again. I had to take a new screenshot right now because i found 4 of them in my last round.

The loot is not 100% random, thats for sure. At least there are droprates for rare legendarys.

Any thoughts, same experience?

I have the same problem as your friend. I am an apprentice that is looking for that chilling touch and I only find that damn monk legendary. Too bad i can't play dps with monk to test if I get the chilling touch with him.

Unique / builder weapons only drop from round 4 and onward. 

But yes, for monk there seems to be a heavy tilt for the normal one. (In my experience)

It's mostly RNG, maybe some flawed code hanging around.

it's pretty much random for any specialised builder weapon. You can get any type of wep for any class, just random. In one case it's nice because you are not forced to actually play a certain class to farm one builder weapon, on the other hand it's abit of a "let down".

Tested it up a bit last night, 2 maps with monk and 1 map with huntress and surprise huntress got another monk legendary. On the other hand huntress got some new nm2 gear so wasn't all lost time.

Edit - Finally today, lucky Benny (the squire) found the Chilling Touch. [ http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=557557862 ].

I have 125 hours in (nm2 is my level) and I have only found chilling touch and purge evil while playing my tank squire.  I only have found purge evil on liferoot and chilling touch on Siphon Site D.  Maybe a glitch, or maybe the RNG god frowns on me.
