[Early Access] Patch 7.4 Notes and Discussion

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a texture streaming issue that was causing the game to always crash on 32-bit systems. Unfortunately, this made loading screens blurry for all users. We have faith our 64-bit players will accept this temporary loss in loading-screen fidelity to assist our 32-bit brethren in defending some dungeons.

  • Fixed an issue where the Jump Key wasn’t working if it was rebound.

  • Fixed an issue with cutscene audio.
  • Fixed an issue where the item tooltips took fooooorever to popup while managing the inventory. Well, it took 2 seconds, but still. Way too long.

  • Homing projectiles now properly home in on targets.

  • Grabbed a dictionary to see if it was “home in” or “hone in” on targets. Apparently both are correct. #themoreyouknow

  • Fixed an issue where dragging an item from one bag to another wouldn’t re-sort the bag.

  • Fixed an issue where entering Sell Mode while choosing a Bag Icon did terrible, horrible, no good, very bad things.

  • The Random Egg reward wasn’t displaying correctly on the Mission reward tooltips.

  • The Mission reward tooltips were missing when you tried to reroll that one Daily Mission for that other Daily Mission.

  • Fixed an issue that was causing other issues. Our servers now ride bicycles! Biii-cycle. Biiiiiiiii-cycle. I want to ride my bicycle. I want to ride my bike. Keep it going in the comments!

  • There was a grey box on the Mission reward tooltips. There is no longer a grey box on the Mission reward tooltips.

  • Fixed an issue where we didn’t say Mission reward tooltips enough. That has now been fixed.

  • Melee goblins couldn’t hit the broadside of the Dragonfall Bazaar cores. That’s not a weird diss. They literally couldn’t. Now they can.

  • Pets will now attack Betsy. Betsy fears not your puny pets and laughs at danger.

  • Fixed issue where Betsy would not properly fear player pets. Still laughs at danger -- will fix in future patch.

  • Fixed an issue where the lightning grenade pet ability wasn’t dealing damage. Now it does!
  • Fixed the issue where the in-game notification for the game going down wasn't appearing. But since it's in this patch, you wouldn't have seen it this time. It should be there next time!

So this is something :)

I came over to the forum to see if anything good is happening with the stash tabs.  In a game like this it's all about gear, gear, gear and gear.  I feel that stash and gear management should be priority number ONE.

I'm finding quite inefficient and off putting.  I sat down today to sort though my 8 tabs of gear.  My plan was simple.  

  • Open food boxes and feed to pet.  Scroll, scroll, scroll :(  Ok, grab the scroll bar...FAIL.  It like just bounces back to the top ><
  • Open/sell chests.
  • I don't understand what is going on with sorting?  Seems like when the loot auto-loots it's not sorted?  The two clicks to re-sort is just an annoyance, so I spot sell anything less than green manually.  And if you pull from one tab to another the source tab resorts but the destination?  I dunno.  It appears gear that has been previously sorted it will remain in that sort order, however, auto-loot is not auto-sorted with what is in there?  
  • Each tab would have a specific type (gold, purple, green, blue).  So move all the gear around.  Again, cumbersome, seems like I keep missing the hit box on where to drop the gear.  Not only that but the bags don't have numbers on them.  I can't tell by color which is 2,3,4,5.  I know there are icons, but these are just generic loot bags that I need to comb through, the bag icon is just fine and appropriate.
  • I also have no idea how to move some gear.  No matter what I do, some pieces just don't want to leave the tab it's in!!!!  Oh it may look like it moved but check uncheck "can equip".  or open and close the tab, or click on sell mode...they're just back where they were o.O.
  • Getting there!  Time to now sort each tab by type.  And low and behold still more cumbersomeness.  It's too much effort to move all the slot 1 gear into a single tab etc, especially when your stash is full.  So I have to go through all the slot 1 from each tab.  Doable...release the tab SORT!!
  • Log off and not play tonight because something crazy happened and now the tab that only had greens is mixed up with blues.  I have no idea what happened there.

Of the complaints I had, some are addressed with above patch notes.  I'll wait to see how it continues to improve in the upcoming patches since looks like Trendy is aware and on top of it.

What about windows fullscreen, seen a bunch of negatives on steam since open alpha hit because of it.

Good good, hope the Inventory is good now, from my pow, it was acc better when all loot came in at once then it was arranged properly in the bags. Leg, Myth, Blue, green, whites, Food and chests.. and so on, now all the bags got a piece of every thing in every one :`\ take longer time to sell and og thro the Inventory and start again...

Can you fix the 1sec blackscreen after every cutscene?

the fullscreen windowed dont work

Add an auto skip cutscene plz :)

Just got on, after grinding the monthly quest for hours upon hours, needing 5 more skeleton kills. To see that it's been completely reset, please tell me you guys are working on a fix?

Steam friend told me about the bear reset... 

I was in a private game.. and it had not reset, so I didn't know what he was talking about.  Went to the "Social" tavern... and looked at the monthly and it reset.

Something about the Social Tavern is very anti-social.

 When every I start up the game the Dungeon Defenders 2 logo comes up after I hit the play button, then I get a error.
