Yariazen 0 Posted February 4, 2019 So I'm a decently new player and I would like some help as to how to beat chaos 5. It's easy, until the shadow assasins come at the same time as the roller thing. Then I sit there and watch as the roller thing rolls over my walls and gg.Nevermind I figured it out. Just sit behind walls and spam 2 as abyss walker. Just sit behind walls and spam 2 as abyss walker. It helps if you know how to deal with dark assassins. Mystic Viper Fang bubble attacks and Huntress geyser traps both instantly remove them, as well as shield stance for barbarian. Also the Shackled mod. Otherwise, once they latch on, stand in front of any def that stuns to knock them out. CB is a good choice as it has a stun shard and a high rof. Rollers - have a dps hero with a few weakpoint mods, and hit it from behind (insert "she said" joke here) to take it down quick. If you can't get to that lane quickly, place more than one barricade in a row to buy time. Check schedules before wave starts to plan accordingly.C5 - cyborks don't target towers and do target nodes, traps, and auras. Go for a heavier tower layout on c5 maps. Add lots of range! Farm c3 for deadly strikes shards. Good luck!

I can auto-collect from a certain rarity on but I am not sure what happens to the other loot (and gold) at the end of the map.Can I ignore it because it will be auto-sold (and the gold collected) or will I lose it if I ignore it? To my understanding - Gold is auto collected if not picked up. Anything set to auto collect will go in your bags or to scavenger. Anything not set to auto collect is lost. No auto sell that i know of.
Yariazen 0 Posted February 4, 2019 Thanks a bunch, does more range really do anything? I feel like the range just stops when there's a change in height. And what do you mean by heavier tower layout?@Jaws_420 quote:@Yariazen quote:So I'm a decently new player and I would like some help as to how to beat chaos 5. And what do you mean by heavier tower layout? If you have more range than the enemy, you can kill them before they can attack you. Especially if you have a single firing defense against a group of bad guys. Range is a key stat IMO. Invest all ascension points into it, and put deadly strikes on most def. Great against cyborks. Height is more affected by the specific def. Cannonball and PDT have great height, as opposed to ramster who sucks at it.Heavier layout - i just meant place more "towers" like cannonball and earthshatter, and less auras/nodes/traps, as cyborks target those. I usually use a lot of auras, especially on c1, c3, and c4. C5 - ditch most auras and go with more towers. Examine a def to see its 'type'.

Jaws_420 1,016 Posted February 5, 2019 @Sestra quote:Hey there! New player here...Friends and I started playing and are now playing for fun in choas 3. The game is fun, but we spend alot of time after the game sorting our gear, selling, equipping etc. Do you have have any advice on how to speed up the process? Thanks in advance! Welcome!!!!!The period in this game that you spend the most time IMO looking at gear, is when you first start out. Once you find a few top level pieces of gear, you can focus on less things to look at. In my first months, i spent SO MUCH time looking at each single piece. First thing to know - any piece of gear can be good, since these days you can evolve/reroll any gear up to a level you want. However, that takes a lot of time, money, and materials that you may not have or be able to get yet. It may be a much better idea to look for the simplest answer - which is legendary gear (golden color). To that end, begin by setting up your auto-collect options in your bags. For instance - for me, i set all bags to never pick up the 2 lowest tiers of gear, the basic/white and the next level green. The lowest i pick up is blue gear, because it contains at least 1 MOD on it, while the other two levels do not. Any dropped MOD can be a 10 or even a 9, which is a VERY GOOD thing to keep. If you don't use them, sell them for high gold amount (anywhere from 100,000 - 25,000,000 depending on what you get). It all depends on which ones, as some are waaaaaaaay more valuable than others. Some are worth having at level 1, as you can reroll them and they are worth having. Set bags pages to only pick up certain collectibles. Only gear on most pages, pet stuff on its own page, shards on another, materials on yet another (if you have that many bags to play with of course). This makes going through gear easier IMO. Most things apart from gear you basally keep, so you don't need those to fall on gear pages, making scanning gear harder. Focus first though on getting at least 5 pieces of gear with decent stats on your heroes. I recommend having mostly builders, only spec'd out for def stats - and then 1 hero spec'd out for only DPS support during the fight phases. For builders, armor does not really matter, so mostly focus on getting them a good relic. Relics only have two options for stats currently, so you don't have to worry which stats you get. AT first - focus on Def Power. Later you can look for a better secondary stat, as you can reroll the primary and not the secondary, but for starters just get your power up on all attacking defs. For walls, you just want a high health stat. On your DPS Hero Power is important, and then go with hero health or a mix of health and ability power depending on what hero you choose and what powers their attacks. Do some research. Then any weapon with good power and a high rate of fire (and for some, good spread of their shots if you use ranged attacks). Gear is based on the Chaos tier you find it on. It can be MUCH quicker to simply find a new piece of gear on C4 and replace your C3 gear with it, rather than leveling up and advancing all of your C3 gear to C4 levels. In other words - don't waste too much gold on leveling gear up, until you hit C7, as that is the cap. If you are stuck though, adding a few levels to your gear can add some much needed power. Shards - look fro Destruction (C1), Def Rate (starts on C4), and Deadly Strikes (C3) for your builder's relics. These are the best ones for most situations. As you play teh game more, you can start experimenting with other ones, but if space is tight in your bags, these 3 are the keys to victory early on. Level these shards up ASAP as soon as you get them. So to summarize my recommendations (which feel free to take or leave) - set bags to ignore all gear under blue. Look for relics for your builders, and armor and weapons your your DPS (which you really should only have 1 or so right now, so this should not take long). As you reach each new chaos tier, swap out all low level gear with the new tier, until you reach C7. Always look for 9-10 mods and keep them. Sell all the rest of the gear. Hope any of that helps...

When looking at your bag or vault page, there should be an options button in the upper right-hand corner to click on. Can change name, icon, and set auto collect on/off with a host of settings by icons on what that page collects. Each page must be done separately.

Yariazen 0 Posted February 10, 2019 So I've been wondering, how do I know if gear I get is better than my upgraded gear? Also, where can I find information on rewards for onslaught?
LJMjollnir 42 Posted February 11, 2019 @Yariazen quote:So I've been wondering, how do I know if gear I get is better than my upgraded gear? Also, where can I find information on rewards for onslaught? You can hold down ALT (default key atleast) and then compare the ranges of both pieces of gear and where that piece of gear is within that range.. so for example (these will be dodgy numbers but easy enough to understand)Gear 1 has a stat of 210 (its fully upgraded) (Legendary)Gear 2 has a stat of 115 (no upgrades) (Blue)when holding alt over them it would show something likeGear 1 210 (200-300) Gear 2 115 (50-120) In that range view you can clearly see that Gear 2 is the better potential once its fully upgraded to legendary since its base stat is closest to the highest stat.. where as gear 1 is a piece of garbage even tho its been upgradedIn this example once the gear 2 was upgraded to Legendary it would turn out to be 287 (200-300) (96%)hopefuly that wasnt too confusing.. a long time ago i actually requested a feature similar to what was actually added which would have made it quite simple to look at.. but this is what we got ;) it works if yer quick at math atleast
Martin Arcainess 110 Posted February 11, 2019 @Yariazen quote:So I've been wondering, how do I know if gear I get is better than my upgraded gear? Also, where can I find information on rewards for onslaught? To shorten it down, you need to look at the % of the stats in the reroll section. 100% means it's the highest stat you can get on that weapon. So basically if you got 2 C3 armor at different upgrade levels, check out there %.
LJMjollnir 42 Posted February 11, 2019 That way requires you to go to the reroll section ;).. another step but yes that works

Jaws_420 1,016 Posted March 21, 2019 (edited) To my understanding, it used to control swing speed, but it no longer has any affect. Swing speed is controlled by the heavy/med/light properties now. That may be wrong, but i asked a ton of questions about this in the past, and that was the answer i got. I have never noticed any difference between % values myself though. It also could mean a "faster" medium swings or a "slower" light swings but sometimes I'm not even sure whether I'm just imagining that haha!
Superb_Meow 24 Posted March 24, 2019 Hello, (it's me Superb_Dog) I reset for the 14 time. My gear was brought back to campaign/c1 and then i went with my friend to the minimum/starting floor which was floor 27. In doing so, I gained c6 gear. I was wondering if this is allowed and supossed to happen? I mean i thought after resetting you have to work your way back to c7 and yet i did floor 27 and got high level gear. I have forgot how resetting works.
