Too many problems. #Done4Now

Let's try to be constructive...


1. Blockades leak and don't hold aggro.

What do you mean?

I put blockades up and mobs float through them, over them, and around them. They don't hold aggro, meaning after the mobs go around them, they just go for core. GG

9/10 losses are because of THIS issue, at least for me.


2. Mobs do TOO much damage.

What do you mean?

The melee mobs seem ok, their damage seems right, but ranged mobs are probably %15+ too strong. Spear Throwers and Dracon do too much damage, and when paired with the burrowers... you're going to have a bad time.


3. The burrowers have too much HP.

What do you mean?

When a single burrower drops in a lane it heals everything based on how many targets are within range of it's aura, at least that's how it seems, so if the burrower is hitting enough targets, you just can't out dps their healing/hp. Yes they can be dealt with, but I think they need at least a 25% health reduction.


4. Bosses no longer drop good gear.

What do you mean?

Every new patch it seems loot gets nerfed more and more. Started with regular mobs no longer drop loot, then bosses on wave 2 or further, then bosses drop less loot... So now when you are trying to progress it takes you DAYS to find 1 piece of good gear... that is if you can complete maps, because if you don't complete the maps, your loot is even worse. It also seems the loot is dropping in a specific order, it's hard to go into details because it's only a theory, but yea, loot drops/rolls just don't seem to be right.

Onslaught... yea... only bosses are on onslaught, so that means there's no reason to play that game mode... [[6360,hashtags]]/survive


5. Leveling pets takes TOO long.

What do you mean?

I have grinded for pet food like crazy, and my 1 pet that I have been dumping all of my food into still isn't on it's last evolution... idk what is going on here, but I don't see how anyone can have more than 1 maxed out pet right now... there's just no way...

Those are my MAIN gripes with the game, but honestly I am/was a pretty hardcore player, and a lot of the difficulty in the game is probably just too much for players to care to really push it. How many people are farming NM3? Probably not that many...


I will no longer recommend this game to anyone, it has some major issues to be fixed... I only mentioned the ones that bother me the most, but here are some more...


Many useless towers in the game.

Ubers feel useless other than Elemental Chaos.

Bugs left and right.

Balancing issues throughout the game.

Quest line bugs.

Shops sell absolutely nothing worth any value... so why have them at all?

The new UI doesn't let you ping if you are looking at defenses.

Sometimes the upgrade lady will not let you use every item to upgrade other items.

The Scavenger...

Picking up loot in general.

Loot bags are clunky and scrolling through them is a pain.

FPS issues if you don't know how to fix .ini files to fix it.

ITEMS ON THE GROUND SHOULD AUTO SELL IF YOU DON'T PICK THEM UP! Jesus Christ... this is a no-brainer. FIX IT!

Anyway... yea... Fix my top 5, and I'll come back... test it, and until then this game is on my "DO NOT BUY" list.

well i can certainly agree with many things here. i've stopped playing the game, only doing easy dailies that consume little time. i would not recommend the game to anyone in current state. many things need balancing. also you forgot another main issue (at least for me), game economy is real bad, and scavenger makes it even worse. i'll definitely come back to this game sooner or later, because i think the concept is really cool, they just need some time to make everything right. only thing we can do now is to play other games and check forums for new updates. that's exactly what i'm doing right now.

Sadly i have to agree with a lot of your statements. Especially nr. 1 and 5.


My main concerns though are the numerous connection problems i experience every single day. I know my IT-stuff and have a rocksolid ISP. These problems are not related to my gear or internet connection.

Yep. Totally agree. Game has too many issues to sort out atm, all my friends stopped playing and I was left alone in this mess. I'm trying to play again, since nightmare progression seems to be reasonable now. But there are just too many problems to address. Like you fix something and break 20 others. How fun is when a ranged goblin goes through your defenses and two shot your AAs while you're at another lane?

Agree with the Main post.

Towers Are Lame, Mage Uber is bad, Lack of range pisses me off, Lack of speed Frustrates me.

Loss of Temp Bag, Also Walls to short, walls need to be 15% taller. (Would make a good uber)

This "Builds" Crap sucks, now its just a game of find the exploit.

Agree with everything, 

#1 Just had a Ogre walk OVER my walls.

#2 Tried to aggro said Ogre back into my traps and he jumped and killed the eggs, never got near them or swung at them, just his jump, from a fair distance, can 1 shot the eggs. GG.

#4 Maybe I don't understand the progression they are going for. But it seems Trendy expects a set of NM3 gear to be able to clear NM4? I can get to wave 5 of NM4, haven't yet gotten a single decent item, most are worse then the NM3 legendaries, so I can't progress any further... IMO progressing would be gear up in NM3, taking on NM4 getting as far as you can and hoping to get some upgrades to progress even further, even if you lose a few times! having to complete a map to get any decent loot is ridiculous. ;/

Madpost, lel. 

I agree with points 1, 5 (kind of, only after 25 levels. Upgrading to Veteran is kind of okay-ish) , auto-selling items that are not picked up, game optimization.

2. Lies. build some defenses focused on the ranged monsters and you are going to be fine. 

3. The same as 2. Build a trap or two for burrowers and you are going to be fine.

4. Lies. RNG hates you for whatever reason. 

5. Kind of. Leveling pet 1-25 is okay. But leveling pet all the way to Elder is a real deal.

"Many useless towers". Well, make them useful then. Just because 1. is there, does not mean that cannons, ballistas or flameburst towers are useless. They all do decent damage. Even auras.

"Ubers seem useless". I guess you don't use any other than EC? Sure, cannonball uber and the DPS / support ubers do seem useless. Wouldn't be so sure about tower ubers, though.

"Bugs left and right". Omg really??

"Balancing issues". Omg really??

Shops? Yup. They sell crap. 

Ping needs a fix to target defenses, yes.

"The Scavenger..." is an interesting idea and i do hope it will develop into something cool rather than just getting deleted because of all those unconstructive mad posts without actual reasons why should it be deleted rather than "tweaked".

Nothing wrong about picking up loot in a video game focused on loot.

Items, left on the ground, should auto-sell after the game. Yes.

agree totally with the OP, but there is so much more he didnt add. the sphere system sucking and the towers doing other towers functions seem to me to be some real annoyances.

Seph give it a break. you've been putting negative posts on almost every post lately in a double-edged sword kinda way its getting real old. Not once did he say he wants anything removed, he did say the shop is pointless which it is atm, we dont even have to sell items there (please dont implement this).

he even starts his post with lets try be constructive, everything he says has a meaning and a place and allot of people agree, it's fair enough you want to white knight trendy they need some positive posts, but they also need negative feedback so they can see immediate problems with the game that could be causing players to not want to play.. These are people who spent allot of time understanding the game so imagine how long a new player who gets frustrated is gonna stick around for..

I suspect that the issue with mobs ignoring blockades is tied to the tenacious stat.  It would be interesting to see if the ogres that are going around/jumping barricades are generally given the CC resist stat or not.

I gotta agree with Seph here that this post leaks of people who have their jimmies rustled.


MOST of these complains are bugs that already were fixed, so why they are back is beyond me(Probably they have 2 seperate builds- The one public tests and one for office full dev with SP story elements and all that fancy schmuck)

So lets analyze this constructive criticism of yours Mr./Ms. OP

Point nr.1

It's a bug obviously to be fixed (ASAP)

Point nr.2 nr.3 and nr.4

Oh it's the good ol' game mechanic called DIFFICULTY CURVE. You don't do enough dmg to deal with the mobs ? Then why won't just go a map lower ? (and there is even a great indicator called iPWR!!)

I could agree that ranged enemies are annoying but they are so by design. If they aren't an unique threat which needs a different way of tactics and tower placement then why should they've been there in the first place ?

But, what catched my attention the most is. How did you decide that Witherbeasts (Crystal burrowers) need exactly 25% hp reducement ? You have tested this issue and have come to claim that extra few shots is what ruins this enemies meant purpose ? Not that maybe its healing too fast, not it's healing range, EVEN their annoying A.I of deployement in the middle enemy groups.

And lastly, about the dropping gear from mini-bosses, pro-tip if you crank up that thing i mention : Difficulty curve. Higher rarity items will fall, the higher it goes, the bigger possibility-mythicals and even legendaries!(Haven't done any testing so I am saying from my expierence)

So in the end the conclusion- It's not constructive criticism, if you throw in some random facts/suggestions along your unbiased complains.


But this game is in Alpha state and devs (I presume) will gladly listen to any feedback they can get and that is including your opinion, but I would personally prefer if your opinions would have some ground reasoning behind them and not just plain complaining.

It was very hard to keep it constructive, I lost it a little bit there in the end.

Yea, I know the game is still in Alpha, blah blah (I hate these excuses), but there are some major issues getting overlooked while they focus on other things... I understand Development Plans, but ... yea.

I'll come back to the game, it's got me hooked... but it gets on my nerves.

I have no problem with Seph giving their opinion about mine, but there is no reason for the bullying of other players.


I have NM4 gear, and have problems beating NM3 content, so yea, difficulty curve is an issue. Doing lower maps like NM2 wont net me NM4 or NM3 items, which I already have. Risk/reward?


Before you hate on my gear... I would love to go into details of my gear with you, but it's just too much information...


If I was able to bring a DPS character in with my Hero Deck, then maybe the spear throwers and dracon wouldn't be a problem, but as of now... I can't. I MUST have 4 builders in my deck, no room for DPS. So they do a little too much damage


I said AT LEAST 25%, that is by no means an exact number. If I had more spots in my hero deck, then maybe this wouldn't need to be changed. Last dev stream they said they are working on more heroes in the deck for solo play, so... this MIGHT get fixed.


Quick question... how many hours have you played the game? How much testing and frustration have you gone through? Cause I'm pretty spent after 433 hours of gameplay and am still having major issues like these... it's something 45 hours of gameplay just wouldn't understand.

I did not one-sidedly bash his post. I posted things that i agree and things that i disagree. Why can't you take a post like that, but you love to see the one-sided negative posts like the OPost, that are titled "Too many problems. [[6408,hashtags]]"? I might have came out a little rough for some, but i gave my feedback on the game as well as what i think about the posts that start with "I'm done with this game". Things that i agree and disagree about.

No, he does not start his post with "Let's try to be constructive". He starts it with "Too many problems. [[6408,hashtags]]". So, tell me, what image does that create to newcomers, that you mentioned, about the game? Would they even try logging into a game that has "Too many problems" and that people are being "[[6408,hashtags]]" with it because of the beforementioned reason? 

People in general LOVE to criticize everyone and everywhere, but actually cannot take criticism. If you are a grown-up, be able to take one yourself. Jeez.

Yes, his post is dead-on about things that currently have issues. But only that these things have issues. Not about the issues themselves. Only the points 1-5 are constructive. The rest is just listing problems without any suggestion or opinion or reasoning. The "trying to be constructive" ended after his top 5 "gripes" with the game. And that's perfectly fine. What's not fine is, like chesticles said, wording of the title, mostly. 

i DID agree with 25-30% of his feedback. I DID agree that the shop is USELESS atm. And some others, read my post for reference. 

Instead of trying to silence me by reporting, etc. you should focus on looking at things from a positive side, think what you agree and disagree with and argue those points with the author. Acting like children, really.

Sure, i could not type the bits about spoiled children, but that was a mere comparison about the POST only. My wording could have been better there now that i re-read it.

I agree. We should have 4 slots in our hero deck for four different builders, because we have four classes, and one more slot for a dps hero, but do whatever we want with those 5 slots. Say, bring 5 builders.

The major issue i see right now, is enemies walking over / around the barricades. Especially, when there's a crowd of them because you do not have enough damage to clear them and they pile up. Some just decide to walk around, lol. Also, how they position themselves: Traps layout might look perfect, but then some poop-throwing goblin sits in a small corner inbetween trap trigger radius and a wall and slowly throws crap at your defenses... it's so annoying when these are grounded... 

Well, tbh, you called this on yourself when you decided to exploit those bugs to get yourself a nm4 gear:) Now i feel it's become boring for you? I somehow forced myself into not abusing them and keep myself entertained with a doable, but rewarding content:) So i can still progress. Nevertheless.

With nm2 items i can barely do some nm2 maps, and a couple nm1 maps prove to be a small challenge (majority is doable).

The big one issue is the target prioritizing for me.

(oh and the inventory management but thats a given...)

Often it happens that burrowers and witcher guys(forgot the name the ones that ressurect skeletons) stack up behind orcs/bosses and just make the tower get useless since the ogres/orcs get (nearly) outhealed.


The game then forces me to go to them and push them in front of the towers or really slowly kill them.


Also *** the scavenger push him off a high cliff please.

Just ignore the fanboy. He's trying way too hard to badmouth any negativity towards the game when 9.99999 times out of 10, most of the negative posts have completely valid points. Just ignore it, and move on because it's pointless.


The original post was spot on, and still didn't even cover glaring issues with the game (most of my grips are just how loot is flat out boring to me, how you don't feel any more powerful, and as a result, it feels unrewarding overall. I've not logged on in days since this last patch because it's just that bad, and anyone that's complimenting anything other than how good the maps/costumes look, well keep playing and hope you enjoy it, but the masses seem to be unhappy with how the game is now, outside of a few select hardcore trendy fanboys. I try to look at the positives at times, but after the mess of this last major patch, and their stances on artificial difficulty through jacking mobs HP up, while keeping your character weak as hell, is just bad. 

But, it's alpha, and I'm able to come and go as I please so I keep an eye on things, voice my opinions and move on. But it's funny as all hell when people like seph come in and basically badmouth any negativity at all. If I enjoyed the game as much as them, I'd certainly not troll the forums and would be off enjoying the masterpiece I'm claiming it is.

This is precisely the reason I think that hero health and damage needs a decent buff for Nightmare content. If I could get to a dug in witherbeast and actually kill it without myself getting killed it would feel oh so satisfying. Unfortunately it normally ends in an epic fail ... I die and have to wait the 10 seconds to rejoin the fight.
