Possessed Sword monthly is a repeat Thunder-0

Active is very weak and only lasts from 10s to 30s (varies).

The cooldown on the active is 120s.

The ability only seems to cast underneath your character. 

The damage is very low. My auto does 5x more dmg (mage).

Need more passives on monthly pets and less damage abilities... because right now the damage abilities or Sword and Thunder are very weak.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm curious:  Are the monthly pets weak in relation to other pets' abilities, or do you feel that they're just weak in general?

With gato fireworks I can actually burst a single target every 7 seconds. It does an incredible amount of damage on a decent cooldown to a single target. Now, even though the new pet has AoE and has a lot of duration time on the skill, doesn't actually help. Mobs aren't meant to be alive for 30 seconds to take full damage, so you either want to make the duration shorter with alot more damage and half the cooldown, so I can actually do a decent AoE damage, or make it last a lot longer so I can mow down enemies hp before they reach defenses. As of now It has no use in either situations, unless you're playing against low lv enemies.

There is going to be a trade system, yes. Though not sure how It's gonna work yet, but probably not gonna be like straight up trading whenever/whatever you want.

also the possesed sword has very low range compared to thunder-0...

but in general - pet dmg abilities are weak and most of the time i dont even bother to cast them

there are a few good utility abilities (like gravebolt, and the other one that restores blue mana) - id like to see similar stuff on monthly pets - maybe ability that repairs defenses in a small radius or stuff like that

just be glad you're getting your monthly pets. some get bugged and lose their pets... and trendy doesn't give them to us, so we just lose them forever. [[6379,hashtags]]

Get Elemental Chaos, and that's it. The rest feel useless. LSA use to be good, then they nerfed it into the ground... but this is a bit off topic.


I think they can't make the Monthly Pets TOOO strong, cause then... what's the point of the rest of them?

Would be nice for them to keep up the Monthly Pets, but every time they release a new pet with a new ability... have all of the other pets get a chance to roll that new ability, so they can keep their current "All pets are created equal." gameplay.


I really love my helicopter kitty, but if ever a Monthly Pet comes out that you just HAVE TO HAVE their ability... it's going to be the end of my pet... which is sad.

All of the pets and hero attacks (except maybe huntress phoenix) are too weak right now on nightmare difficulties. They do not scale well enough with hero damage/hero ability power.


I agree with others that I definitely don't want to see a 'must have' pet unless you integrate their ability into the pool of random abilities. I like my dragons :(

Weak in relation to other pets' abilities for sure.

Check out a thread I made - I don't have every pet's ability and its math (pls help out guys?) but some are flat out better.  Curse Aura is a good example - does more damage per second than both the monthly pets, has higher area of effect, lowers enemies' damage by 50%, and has a speed boost for the first few seconds

It's just better in all aspects, really.

I'm finding them substantially weaker than other pet abilities.  While they may have similar best-case-scenario damages, the monthly pet damage is far more conditional, meaning it's often a fraction as good.  And if you place it perfectly and get very lucky, it just might be on the same level as a regular pet's.

They are going to put ability reroll into the game so that'll fix it. These active damage ones are all pretty useless.

Pet spheres. Please. I enjoy the 'gotta catch em all' aspect of pets but I hate the fact that we can't re-roll abilities, and that certain abilities are locked to certain pets. If you want to lock a legendary pet ability, at least give the ability to put something else over it, or let us re-roll the ability (which it looks like will be in at some point from the UI)
