The irony: I'm more likely to get an upgrade farming freeplay hard/onslaught than I am farming NM4 Liferoot incursion

Recommended Posts

The issue: I've a staff with frostfire 21% and no tower damage stats.

The odds of me getting a frostfire with higher % and/or tower damage stats is significantly higher in freeplay than in NM4 because of the increased legendary drop rate simply giving me more rolls, and the fact that even if I get a frostfire staff in NM4, odds are it either has lower frostfire % (aka downgrade) or no tower damage.

(But seriously, please put tower damage stats on all frostfire/garment name staffs)

It's still possible to cap the reset time on towers/traps/auras without a maxed % staff, especially if you have a high enough defense power. At least this is my understanding of it because all the towers cap at a certain recharge/fire rate I believe.

That being said, if you get a staff with defense power on it but a lower %, it might look like you're losing/downgrading but in actuality you are likely improving because the nm4 incursion staffs have around 550+ defense power. Of course you just have to do a little simple math to figure out whether or not you're losing or gaining depending on your defense power before and after the change.

Yes, but the point is that because there're so many stats than can be found on a frostfire staff, the odds of me actually finding one with defense power is pretty low.

Fair enough. I'm having a hard time of it finding one with defense power as well.

I have 2 staff. 1 with 25% and 1 with 16% + 610 DP.

I need to use the staff with 25% because it gives more DS.... so u maybe right.

From my understanding the staff cannot drop in Freeplay, also pls no to the tower dmg on all frosty staffs. Mine has to have tower health for my waller/ice beam apprentice!

Bah, must've remembered wrongly where I got my first staff then. But even then, it's still sucks that it's plausibly faster to farm easier end-game maps than to farm more difficult late end-game maps.

Though the same citera would still apply to frosty power gear as well.
