i´m getting external authentication error when opening the game from steam

hey fellow dungeon defenders!

I played DD2 earlier today with no problems and I want play again right now but this time i´m getting an external authentication error (picture - http://puu.sh/ieOBx/2852072f64.PNG)

I have tried searching on google for some answers but none of the answers helped me, so now i´m asking for help from you guys.

Guess the login servers are bombarded got the same problem solution is patience. :P

Just restart the launcher every now and then I just got back in while writing this text.

Did you try checking the steam chache?

Hey, same problem here mate, me and my wife cant connect actually and we have the same message like you...

Whats going wrong ? We want to hatch our egg :'(

Im pretty sure the trendy server are having some trouble atm dd1 login dosnt work at all and dd2 is not working consitently but sometimes you can join if you keep restarting your game.

Same error here :/
