Why Arabia?

Recommended Posts

not sure if aim supposed to post this here, but I was digging through coding and such and realized something. Why is everything that has to do with Moraggo called Arabia? I don't know if the other shards have off names but it just seems odd to me to not call the files for it Morrago instead of Arabia.

Is there a reason for this, is it something aim missing in the DDDK?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aladdin

You're not missing anything if you know a bit about Aladdin. Hence the maps themed around Genie's and magic lamps and has magic carpets.

It's simple project direction, a lot of industries do this, creative ones especially.  Typically it's just a designation for internal development, helps everyone on a team keep track of projects much easier with simpler naming structures and assets are easier to compile together for any one project. Instead of naming things ridiculous designations that have to be dug through to find what goes where.  And again, a lot of industries do this for their workflow.

This. We also use codenames so we don't have to spend time thinking of a creative/original name during production and design. The naming usually happens last.
