Dear Trendy,
As a heterosexual female, I am REALLY TIRED of seeing the huntress's breasts on the loading screen, EVERY TIME I load the game, and about 90% of the time when loading to any other part of the game, (taverns, maps, etc.)

Clearly someone is a little frustrated and needs to get their jollies on seeing cartoon anatomy, however, to me it's puerile and frankly borders on child pornography.  (The huntress looks to be the youngest of the heroes!!!)  Disgusting.

Please fix, as this is NOT amusing.

Edit: I must admit to being very frustrated last night -- I restarted the game about 40 times.  (90% because of my internet issue, and 10% game kicking issue).  Of all those restarts, I saw the huntress image about 38 times, and the Apprentice image 2 times.

I have enough faith in the Trendy artists to hope that they can portray a strong and powerful female warrior as such and not simply a sex object.  (And properly dressed!)

The Apprentice looks powerful, why shouldn't the huntress?

Agreed. This is actually something people are complaining about (They see the huntress all the time and RARELY see the squire loading screen). According to some of my viewers the huntress's outfits/accessories are extremely boring compared to the other classes, and seem to just be more fan service than heroic and/or epic.

Really hope they make better outfits and accessories for the huntress!

Yeah this has always been something that irked me since I first booted up DD1. huntress' chest popping out when they are all children. Never seemed right. I'm also hoping for better huntress skin change ups and accessories. The defaults are pretty bland. I'd rather have the Huntress look like she's ready for battle over looking like a sex figure.

Weird it bothers this many people. Age doesn't even come to mind because it's cartoonified. Granted, my gf and me broke up a while ago, so I may be biased by lack of boobies the past few months, but I do not say no to a set of natures best pillows whilst waiting for a game to load...

...Can we get it in .GIF?

So if this is an issue is the Squire Costume Ramster knight where he is half naked not offensive or fan-service?

Well, in DD1 I could understand why they removed the bum cleavage, but this is a bit crazy imho (and even that did not bother me).

Considering the Squire's boxers are close enough to being shorts and it's not as if there is a bulge on those shorts. I don't think there is a completely valid argument for a double standard.

I think OP has a point in the matter, although I do believe this was more of an issue in the first game rather than the second. The Huntress may look younger than everyone else but at least their models are that of a young adult.

I think this can easily be directed at 'We would like to have less revealing clothing on the huntress.'

"Some of us would like less revealing clothing" sounds more accurate. Their opinion is just as valid as anyone else's, not trying to pick a fight. But I'd prefer formulating the sentences in a correct way so it does not sound like others are representing all of us.

Where is the freedom of artist? Why do everything has to be made issue? Why we have to sexualize pixelated game character?

I answer. Because we have lost the main thing of gaming. Its having fun, relaxing, enjoying. Taking something as offensive isint part of having fun or relaxing. It all finally start from between everyones ears. What do you think is bad and what is not. Gaming is almost always good, why start making it bad by focusing on one aspect? Its same as saying that milk is racist cause its only white...

From a character design aspect id find some challenges in this. Moving to them being adults, yes she is going to mature there too, and that's not a problem. The huntress default clothing offers variations as well as costumes and you would have to be stretching to consider these sexualized.  Most of the aesthetics options for the female are feminine in nature through Dungeon Defenders existence, however I would not discount DD2's design of a matured Huntress anything less than a playful badass.  In addition Trendy probably felt it best to show off the loading with the huntress to give more focus to the female heroine as most games hardly do so, often putting their male lead heroes there instead.

what a silly thread,  NORMAL people do not care/worry about cartoon boobs.  You seem to be an extreme sexist/pervert that can't contain himself after seeing some pixels.  If it bothers you that much just mod the images out.  But honestly speaking this thread is just too silly.

Is this serious? You're comparing the inclusion of a video game character's anatomy to the abuse of real children. The two aren't even in the same league. And the Huntress looks to be, what, 16-ish? If you can't handle a slight amount of jiggling (on a body part that, well, jiggles) maybe it would be wise to stay away from games all together.

Could we perhaps get moderation and this topic closed/removed, this is against good taste and common sense

Seriously second this!! If you don't like the way the artists created the characters, feel free not to play the game!

Why are you not making the same complaints about the squires muscles when he runs around with no shirt on??

...because it's ridiculous to be complaining about that, and the same can be said for this topic!

Clearly a troll thread but I thought I'd mention a couple things for some perspective:

The heroes all have 4 fingers - thus they are all either maimed or not human.

The heroes aren't children anymore - I mean look at the squire. That guy is more ripped than most 20+ year-olds in their prime brolifting stages. Without some freak genetics you'll never see anyone under 16-20 with that kinda body.

We don't actually know their age - nuff said

If you're gonna get pissy about something, gripe about the lack of equal gender ratios in the game or something tangible lol.

At the very least don't go attacking the artist because you want attention and people to rally up behind you for it.  I'm all for the artwork and I think they are doing a great job with their stylizations.

Oh right, please close this thread as it's pretty toxic.

Troll thread?  Nope.  I am just tired of that loading screen!  You know, the one where the camera is positioned from above, and the child's breasts are in full view?

Children -- the huntress looks much less than 18 years old, especially in that particular image.  She also appears to be the youngest of the bunch.

Not attacking the artist.  However, in the past, at Trendy, there have been documented gender discrimination issues and "up-sexing" of child characters.  (Just look it up.)  I would rather that unpleasant bit of history not repeat itself.

I will also add to the list of annoyances -- the base huntress costume is disgraceful -- the "shorts" cut in the back... really?  An empty square that shows her butt... oh sorry, "tights" .... yeah.  It just looks gross, and I don't feel I should have to see that kind of stupidity.  (And, before you get into another hissy fit, yes, I cover up my monk as well.  Why heroes would go into battle naked is beyond me.....)

Hmm, solutions:

a) make all male characters. End results = feminazis flame that isint dd2 good enough to have strong female characters.

b) "correct" the size of tits (of imaginary lady whom you might be jealous cause of the bust size or something). End results = feminazis win cause they can affect imaginary things in games (where having fun is the main idea) thus having same effect as landing a prope to comet and getting insulted by wrong shirt.

c) make the tits so darn huge that all feminazis quit the game and we can focus on enjoying the game, aka tower defence with a bit of hack and slash. End result = toxic players will go back under the rocks...

Yours- person who truly wants equalism, but hates feminazis. Women who wont/cant do the crappiest jobs like draining sewage etc. Who complain about minor things. Demand that they can wear anything they want, anywhere but call it sexist when men do it etc.
