Might be a permissions issue. Have you tried running as administrator?

yeap, sounds extremely to be missing admin rights since the game has to create some files in its installation folder.

Well i run steam as an admin when i open it up, but the desktop shortcut for dd doesn't have the option run as admin, just open. So im not sure if thats the issue.

Can you go to the following folder where the executable is and right click on it?  You should be able to apply admin rights then.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dungeon Defenders\Binaries\Win32

I might be a little late, but trying everything you guys have said won't work and running DunDefGame as admin gives an error.

Hey

Having an issue where the game crashes after the intro scenes.

I have tried everything I could find

- Verifying Files
- Removed DLC
- Run EXE as Admin
- Compatibility Modes
- Editing Line in UDKEngine.ini
- Installing Registrys
- Installing a different Anti-Virus software & switching it off + Windows Defender
- Uninstalling & Reinstalling the game.

Currently running;
Intel i5-8600 CPU
Geforce GTX 1050 Ti
WIndows 10 64bit Home Edition

The only thing I can note that happens continuously is; after attempting to start the game & it crashes, I verify the files & it redownloads 1 file.. It's always UDKEngine.ini

If anyone has a fix for this, or even the slightest advice I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hey, im having a problem hosting games on Dungeon Defenders,

Whenever i click "Host Game" or "Host AFK Shop" it waits a bit and shows up with a cancel button and then immediately says "Failed To Host Game" and the same with hosting shops.

Methods I've tried

*Adding the "-tcp" to launch settings

*Running the game as Administrator

*Checking Anti-viruses

*Verifying Integrity of Game Files

My steam name- Doge
