What's your keyboard/mouse?

Recommended Posts

So I'm using an ancient Microsoft keyboard/mouse (someone got them for me ~8 years ago) and it's feeling like they might kick the bucket soon (plus half the keys are worn off and the right click doesn't always register).  Suffice to say, I'm researching my options.

I wanted to ask a community of gamers, what keyboard and mouse are you using and how has your experience with them been?

My mouse is a Razer Mamba. Link here!
And my keyboard is a Razer Blackwidow Chroma. Link here!
Lets make all the colors! free_rainbow_icon_by_dragongirl983-d48ld

Top Quality gaming  :L so jelly

I dream of having a mamba for myself someday!
the only thing about chroma besides the price is the noise, the noise is funny and i like how i can distinguish who's typing for the keyboard but i would expect for the price to be super silent xD but my logitech keyboard was way louder than any else

Mouse:  Razer Naga Hex
Keyboard:  I used to use my Razor Blackwidow Ultimate, but it's too loud and keeps my wife awake at night. Now I'm using a quieter Alienware keyboard.

I hade the same keyboard issue! Except I dont have a wife... But then I changed to the Chroma that was told to be less loud. It didnt work and it's still pretty loud. Aaaand that is something [[64135,users]] might have noticed today xD Sorry for loud tapping! ^^

I think that's the point of a mechanical keyboard. :p

Mouse: Logitech G600 x2

Logitech: G19

I do have a spare razer blackwidow but switched to the G19 because the sound of mechanical keyboard was annoying my wife.

Was a Cyborg R.A.T 7 with a first run Logitech G15, but sadly, both kicked the bucket at about the same time.  Figured I'd see what the 'budget' gaming world had to offer.  Currently:

Mouse - Perixx MX-2000IIB - $24.99  Link Here

Keyboard - Azio Levetron L70 - $29.79  Link Here

So, how does my current $55 team match up to my  old $220 one?  Well, not as well, but not as large of a gap as I would have expected.  The current budget stuff ain't bad!

Some much Razer gear. How can any mouse/keyboard be worth more than $100?

spending $100+ every few years on a keyboard or mouse is nothing compared to what my friends that are into cars and motorcycles dump into their hobby :p

Yeah, I put a lot into my car. But having a nice car is worth so much more. I've used Razer mouses/keyboards, and besides bindings I barely see a difference between the Razer and a $10 logitech

i spend alot of money on my computer gear since it pays of in the end by reliability and customization =)

It doesn't pay off though. I'd rather spend that $100 and go out with friends because I've used both Razer and crappy Logitech. The Razer is nicer, but is no where close to the price difference.

Although I do agree with your point in having a nice car. My point was that a person's hobbies can get pretty costly but my wife doesn't have an issue with me getting a new keyboard and mouse every few years. It's when I tell her the computer needs an upgrade that makes her panic because I usually end up making a new one instead :p

I would say the mouse quality highly depends on the game you're playing and then speed you use on your mouse, you just can't have a good quality speed with logitech cheaper stuff, some cheap razer stuff are pretty good, but i feel ya, it's not like for dungeon defenders you need a HQ mouse or anything, but then again, if you are used to logitech, being used to something makes you better with it. (i used 100$ to buy my razer mouse, a keyboard and still went out with friends with leftovers, just 'cause it's razer doesn't mean you gotta buy the most expensive >_> the lower tier razers are pretty good actually imo
