Hello, Defender cKo and company! Thanks for posting and we apologize for the wait. We're currently investigating connectivity issues on our end. In the meantime, let me get some more information from you guys. When you receive this message are you able to get back into the game after restarting the game? Also, what kind of connection do you game with? (Cable, DSL, ect)

After getting this message it brought me way back from the main menu. There was no other problems occur after that. It just disconnected me from the game. Im using DSL. :)

Hey there, sorry for the wait, was working :)

Ok, im a programmer myself, and i would almost bet, that this has something to do with the playverse anonymous key, that is generated if u login, if im getting this concept right. Cause its not like its happening specific after a set amount of time. Its like someone else get the same HASH for his session or something like that.

So first of all, searching for session takes up ultra long also, and if i press "start" in the main menu, and its finished looking for session, i could press start again, if im waiting, it takes me into the game.

So im opening aprivate lobby and i select a map. Now i play for round about 5-10 minutes wave 2/3 and then the Message appear and takes me back to the main menu. if im searching for another session, by pressing start after this, i can play again like 15 minutes and the whole process starts again.

Its the same, if i restart the game and/or steam after this.

Im using cable isp, and no wifi involved here.

greets from germany

I've had this problem alot, this is what it seems like happens (to me).

[Main Menu] , (Blue Tavern) and {Friends list}

[Start is pressed but fails to find a session, so it just comes back to the main menu where you press start again. Repeat pressing start button when ever you can]

(Search for group is pressed but fails to find one, before you can press button again. Repeat pressing)

{XYZ invites you to a game, you press join (or accept cant remember now). Nothing happens so you get impatient, finds him on steam friends list and join him (or try to) from there. Repeat trying to join him either through steam friends or when he sends invite}

All of the above things can/will give a session expired / another person logged in message.

In my mind it is because one of the old [start] (search for group) or {friend invite/friend join} message to the server finds a session to join, so it tries to login with that.

OR

it is because the game you have join is you FIRST "click" in either of the [],() or {}. And the second(ary) click(s) are the ones that get a connection and disconnects you.

TL;DR

Seems like the keep alive or TTL on the game joining messages to the server is too long and screws you over when they overlap

Hope it helps, if you have any more questions feel free to message :)

*EDIT*

Forgot to say that this is something I have tried alot, and a friend of mine who always joins on his first "clicks" have never gotten the session expired message.
