Question about the CE

Do you need to buy the base game in order to purchase the collectors edition? I assumed it would be available as a separate purchase, but steam has it listed as DLC, and says it's an upgrade and that you need the base game to buy it. 

Sorry if this has been asked before, I did some searching and couldn't find an answer.

CE doesn't come with base game as far as I am aware. Meaning, yes, you have to buy the base game before you purchase the upgrade.

Yes, you do. The Upgrade package is for additional titles, cosmetics, and in-game credits when the game officially launches.

Kind of upset that the CE only gives a title and the normal version doesn't. Not going to open that can of worms up though.

Damn that sucks, I only have $40 to spare. Guess I'll get the base game, and see if I have any money for the CE in a month or two.
