RobbieNewton 0 Posted February 3, 2014 I was playing Slenderman's Shadow once. I got 11/12 of the items needed to beat the level. Just as I picked up the 11th however, I felt something behind my character. It was Slenderman, putting his tentacles forward :'( You can see the horrific experience at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3msSscRHMaM#t=32 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3msSscRHMaM#t=73 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3msSscRHMaM#t=94 So I ask you all, have you ever had anything unexpected or shocking happen to you in a game that completely threw you for a loop? Banzaiguy 0 Posted February 3, 2014 A long time ago, when I was playing Maplestory, I pissed somebody off and they said that they'd hack my account. They actually did. Though if we're talking about stuff contained in the games themselves, I guess the most shocking thing I had experienced was the plot twist in Ever17. I don't think people who haven't played it would understand at all, but
Holy moly, the 2 different paths take place in the same world and timeline
LaurawantsaCow 0 Posted February 3, 2014 Either the unexpected death in FF7 or that moment in Resident Evil 2 when you're running down one of the hallways, and it's a hallway you've ran through many times. Then suddenly the windows break and Zombie hands try to grab you. I shrieked like a little girl...granted I WAS a little girl but still. I was NOT expecting that. Habbo Hotel back in the day, I was young, very young and naive, and someone said that if you type your password in the chat it comes out as stars. Long story short, it didn't Either the unexpected death in FF7 or that moment in Resident Evil 2 when you're running down one of the hallways, and it's a hallway you've ran through many times. Ever17 is a game I've been meaning to play for a while Laura ma'am, can you recommend it?
TaintedFun 0 Posted February 4, 2014 When the Red Testament was unmasked in Xenosage Episode III ~ I figured it was that person but it was still a surprise.
Dredd 0 Posted February 4, 2014 The most shocking thing for me was in FF6 where you had a choice to either let Shadow/Cid die or save them. Both characters can be saved pretty easily but its the fact that you can actually let them die that I had found pretty shocking especially as a kid making those choices regardless of it being a video game. iamisom 2 Posted February 21, 2014 There's only one real answer to this:Eternal Darkness: Blue Screen of Death Simulator If your sanity meter went too low, there was a chance that this screen would appear when you went from one room to another.
barehugs 0 Posted March 6, 2014 The one that pops out in recent memory is the end of "Gone Home". I literally gasped. It was less about being surprised-shocked and more wtf-shocked.
