DPS characters are mostly upped the same. You want stats in hero damage, health and ability 2. The range damage will come from the weapon you choose to use such as pawnshot, blaster, ecannon etc. You just need to up the base damage along with extra projectiles, shots per second and projectile speed possibly on the weapon.

Ofc it depends on the weapon more than stats, but stat wise do with what has been said above.

The weps can vary.
For example a blaster caps at 12 shots per second I think, so if you only upgrade a blaster to have 9 shots per second, you are limiting your dps.
