[PS3] Event Item Hint!

If anyone is still guessing or not, would it be wrong to say that it might be a Shai?

Do you guys think I should have a poll and ask would players rather have "OP" Event Items that will help defeat the more difficult maps but lose the farming aspect of the game or do players want not so "OP" Event items which will not destroy the farming aspect of the game?

no poll needed, OP all the way, I'm still going to play a million rounds of Morraggo for a great 200^+ oculus, the dovakiin pet hasn't stopped me from doing the 6 giraffe runs i did this morning, I've helped a few friends looking for unicorn glaives even though i have a gospel! OP only helps us do this game on more difficult levels!

That was for OP or Novelty Event items but I guess it does fall under the same category.

I'd like to be able to play insane plus levels with afk. Can't do that as it is. It would be nice to beat sky city on insane/and insane plus and CD on easy at least. With OP it gives a chance to be able to beat the levels which will offer better rewards in the tavern.

Honnestly, It's would not ruins the farming part in my mind, cauz it's not everyone who get the event items, and we all have friends who join the game and we help them to farm. In another way, I'm sorry but if I have a weapon like this, I would use my mage all the way, all the time for beat bosses, so I wont stop to farm apprentice weapon. I will just collect them for friends, or just make a collection of great staffs. In my mind this staff is OP, yes, but I would really like to have one of them, because like everyone said, we have some problem on the game to play some maps, cauz of the UP aspect of console gear. I mean, even with OP event items, I'm not even sure someone will be able to beat sky city insane+ or CD on only hard.... so imagine insane and insane+... Since we will never have another patch, the only way for us to beat those map is by getting OP weapons. We can't farm for a staff that can shoot 10 projectile and have all those beast stats. I would really like to own one of them, so yeah, I would vote yes on OP event items. If someone don't want it and say that it's ruin the farming aspect of the game, they just don't have to do the event and they will be able to continue to farm like they want forever to get nothing enough powerfull for beat hard maps.

Well in my defense on this I have done a lot for the community, more then what Trendy ever expected from me. I have started the Trendy Sponsored community events a year and a half ago (Trendy started the actual Events just to clear that up), went from the 360, then to the PC and now the PS3 and I never asked them for anything. I figured at this point I would ask them for a few special items for personal use which they agreed to. I consider it an honor that they would do that for me and actually never expected them to do it.

The only item(s) i consider op would be the staff and animus for mages and even still its not! ive used the tower app with perfect stats, even 1016 damage.. And he is now juuuust usable.. If anything these so called op items are fixing an unbalanced game and enabling us to use different builds and play with different characters that were only usable for certain levels before hand.. Ive farmed just as much as anybody on this game and am not happy with the dps monk or tower mage.. And to add to that still cant beat CD on hard even.. Or sky city on insane +.. And giraffe runs and such on + is impossible for most ppl... Only a few ppl can do it.. Myself, gamer and cheymz that i know of..

No one complained about the laser robot even though its nice and op, for towers or dps and for any character... If you guys are gunna complain about items that open up new gameplay in the game why dont you ask for them to be 90 instead of novelty, just usable items that you can farm better ina couple days that no one will use after a week

I've known Dredd for a long time and he deserves that weapon. With all the stuff Dredd mentioned in his post, as well with his future work in the "Event Emporium" and doing his job as a "forum moderator. I believe people that do "awesome" work in the DD community is entitled to a "special item". I believe Dredd is one of those people.

I think its dumb that people on here are complaining about Dredd having too OP of a weapon and that we deserve a chance at that kind of loot too. well here's what i say to that. Hell no. I don't want that OP weapon out there for everyone for one reason. Exploitation of duplication. I'm glad he has the One and Only. Makes me feel as if he really deserved that for everything he's done. And if you're going to B&C about the unfairness of it, then ask yourself a question. What the hell did you do to deserve such a priceless item? What good have you done for the community? Where's your inside connection?!?
Dredd that weapon is amazing and no one else deserves it but you buddy. I know one day something of that sort will be avail but never the same. we will have chances to earn a fair weapon that many will consider OP, but have rightfully earned either in reward or persistent hard work and dedication to the community such as yourself. One day we finally get what we deserve.....A DAMN PATCH(yeah right)

In my defense I have helped and offered help from day 1 witch was 2, 3 years ago messaging trendy and they owed me a favor. I asked for a personal weapon and got told that no one should have an over powered item unless the community could as well have the chance to get one. So instead I had a Giraffe fixed from going negative... Dredd you have done a lot for the community and respect that... But I believe everyone should have the chance to get the Dredd staff that symbolizes your hard work for everyone and not just you.

I like this idea as a weapons collection theme named after valuable contributors to the community. "The Tito-nator" or "Dredd." Maybe for some future events. That definitely would create a legacy.

Yeah, I offered trendy my help in bringing back the events and they said they'd get back to me. Later I find that Dredd and Tito were then starting it up and herd nothing from trendy so I declined that offer in helping the community. Before that I helped many defenders up on there feet with mass morrago runs (back then morrago was nearly unbeatable with 4 player count freezing and what not as well as you see most builds for it are originated from team wolf pack) and my favor was to host events with particular items but no at that time wasn't accepted and then asked for weapon my self and sooooo got shut down. Now I come to hear Dredd asked same in his favor and got his weapon, an Arronax at that! I'm just saying I would of rather my name on an item like that but for the community anyways.

It's true, we don't need all those +128 stats (even if like I said, even with a powerfull staff like that we will not even be able to be the maps that we are alreaddy not able to) , but at least a powerfull arronax like that, with 12k base dammage, +9 projectiles, +5k projectile speed, +50 charge and at least +128 dammage/casting/overcharge. I mean, not all the +128 you have Dredd, but only the more importants. Like the Dredd, but a little bit less powerful. That could be a deal? no? I mean, not you'r staff, because it's REALLY powerfull (even if I would like that staff more than everything) , but at aleast something near to it?

You see, when you create completely over the top items that just obliterate anything that is even remotely possible in the game you create jealousy and tension. Take it from me, I know. I always wanted to hand out some of my unique items, but there was so very few people trustworthy enough to have them.

OP weapons are going to do a lot of harm to this community. Sad to say it. But whatever, no point stopping it now.

Oh my.... how we have strayed from the topic. All I am seeing is a bunch of peeps ooohing and aaahing over the "Dredd" and requesting for op weapons. But the fact still remains the duping is a big prob. So yeah you get your all op weapons and pets with all perfect stats and then what??? Are you still going to farm for high upgraded items that nobody would be inrerested in, since everyone would be op as well. Or is it just to say that "yay" I have beaten all the insane plus maps with little to no work and I don't need any new items, so on to the next game until there is a new event?
Everyone always feels entitled to having something better than everybody else in this game but they hardly ever want to work for it. The real players in my opinion are those who are already coming up with innovative ways of using what is available and passing these stages. They have tried and failed many times until they have found that special build.
The public matches are already scarce when you are looking to team up online (thanx to tav duping), but I don't belive that making more op items would help the community or people's interest in this game to grow.

As what we've reminded users time and time again, that all things in the forums, including these events/event items are never a users "right" to have. They are a privilege.

Thank you Classic for those kind words and I do agree that I should have never posted those pics. As for OP items this has been debated that since Insane+ on Sky City and CD are near impossible to beat more so on CD because the gear just does not match up to the difficulty of those maps which is very unfortunate but then if we do come out with OP items then it destroys the farming aspect of the game so its a double edge sword in the end. The "Dredd" weapon will never be released to the public.

Now to get back on topic, everyone already knows that its referenced to Sailor Moon since the pics give it away. There will be 2 Event items based on the series but will not be OP to the point that it destroys the farming for DPS Apprentice weapons but will be powerful enough in there own rights.

So 2 apprentice staffs. Some pictures have been suggested already, have any of them come close?
And a question, will either of these 2 weapons be win only? or both just for playing?
Also, is there any chance that when you put the picture up, that you will respec so we may see the level requirement?
