Welcome to our first Alpha hotfix! Please keep in mind, all items obtained with the bugged Serenity Auras that have an Item Power of 341 or greater were re-rolled to 340 with this hotfix.


Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that was causing the Serenity Aura to slow substantially more than intended. Serenity Auras no longer stack their slow effects.

  • Fixed an issue where special stats were displaying as .01 of what they should be.

  • Fixed an issue where players were not receiving the Nightmare accessories who should have received them. Anyone with an item that, unupgraded, was Item Power 241 and above, should now have the accessories.

  • Made a change where Ogres and Special Enemies do not drop loot on Wave 1 in End Game Nightmare. It's our current plan to remove these enemies on Wave 1 altogether in an update very soon.

  • Fixed another server crash.

  • Fixed an issue where Free Play Hard, End Game Insane, and End Game Nightmare had the rounds that would end before Betsy died.

  • Fixed an issue where the music track from Town Entrance would play behind the intro cinematic.

  • Fixed an issue where the Apprentice's charge shot did not activate traps.

  • Fixed an issue where curtains were blocking enemies from getting out of their spawn point. (We got new curtains.)

  • Fixed an issue where Incursion Ogres did not count towards Monthly Mission progress.


Known Issues

  • Players have reported on our forums that some passives are either too low or too high from what they should be. We’ll be addressing this in a hotfix next week.

  • We’ve received a lot of feedback about the Scavenger since the update released yesterday. We've made a post about the feedback on our forums and spoke about it in our Devstream.
  • We're still looking into the issue where players' Xpadder profiles are no longer working.

Awesome work you guys are putting in. Please don't let the negative feedback get to you guys, as there are some of us that really appreciate the hard work.

Not bad, nice first hotfix, but I think the bigger problem than the over tuned serenity is the fact that only bosses are still dropping loot. Amazingly enough I've gone to wave 16 twice in onslaught since the alpha patch and gotten maybe 3-4 upgrades across all 4 characters, with 0 usable legendary.

Cool, for the first hotfix, neat. Any consecutive hotfix can hardly beat that ;D

Only the Scavenger stands a chance, imo =D

Yep! Minibosses (which is the class the Ogre is in) and Special Enemies (like the Plaguing Hulk) will spawn on Wave 2.

Accually does the event for this weekend start after the hotfix since i found none of the purging staffs today only maybe 15 legendary monk staff without purging evil stat

Are you ****ing kidding me!? So now we can't get any loot wave one and didn't fix the issue where normal mobs aren't dropping loot like they are now suppose to.

You took a game that felt great and was working very well, F-ed it up with loot and survive and continued to destroy game mechanics and game play with every patch. Start focusing on fixing problems instead of adding content. Scavenger is sh!t, loot is lost at the end of a game if not picked up now. New UI and contextual menu is annoying and in the way. Your solution to everything is nerf and raise prices. I'd rather just go back to playing pre-loot and survive, at least I had fun there.

Thanks based Trendynet guys for fkn with us by removing the only way to get loot. And thats from the bosses on Wave 1.

So more re-rolling and fixing serenity aura, mention of display stats, but ALL OUR 240- GEAR YOU NEUTERED remains neutered?  See what you can do about it next week?  Mobs aren't dropping loot and you're going to make sure we can't get loot from round one specials meanwhile too?


YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME.  BUT YOU'RE NOT.  UNREAL GUYS.  UNREAL.

   

(edit - Max I don't care about the Serenity / 340 iPWR+ reroll, I'm a neutered naked iPWR 240- guys who was all ready to play end game and can't.  I WISH it re-rolled what they zero'd out.)

They aren't rerolling all gear, and a lot of people don't even have gear that meets the requirements, unless they were cheesing wave 1 bosses like before.

I for one am glad they are fixing this to not make progression a joke again.

thats good , at least now we need to play 2 wave to get some item , saw some guy just running wave 1 and repeat to get item , with that method my friend ipwr already 500 :P

Thanks for what you guys do. Staying loyal to the community, and working your asses off for us. 

Sad that people are complaining that they can't exploit something that wasn't meant to be in the game though.

How exactly do you test whether that 340+ equipment was "obtained with the bugged Serenity Auras"?

Answer, you don't, and this is just another lie.

You had a game that played great, and you made it to where it was completely unplayably hard for a large part of your player base.  Your response to that was to go "Ooops, accidentally made something easier" and screw the players more, rather than fix the stuff your players care about.

Fixed an issue where special stats were displaying as .01 of what they should be.

Only for some, eg. Frosty Power. Most of them is still bugged.

From Hotfix 6.1:

From Alpha patch notes

"Loot no longer drops from regular enemies on Wave 1 in Free Play and End Game. Loot will drop from these enemies on Wave 2 and beyond in Free Play and End Game."

"Loot will drop from Special Enemies and Minibosses on Waves 1 and 2 (and beyond) in Free Play and End Game."


So now you decide to change you mind and just remove wave 1 specials altogether. Especially for solo, Wave 1 is the only way to get loot for most players, and don't give me that "it's cheesing" BS. When you aren't fully geared for that NM level its not the easiest thing to beat an entire mission, let alone a few waves. The few games I played after the Alpha patch usually ended at wave 1 or 2. The few social games, only 1 finished the map. Loot is already hard enough to get, and most of what drops is useless crap anyway.

Change it back to how it was originally, everything can drop loot from the start. So what if it takes less time to max out iPWR and get to the NM4 content, it was much more fun before. I used to spend hours playing Life Root Forrest and Betsy Incursions with a friend before loot and survive, and that was the most fun I had with the game. Every change and addition has taken away some enjoyment from the game. Every time you bring something new into the game it starts out strong, people complain, and you make it worthless. Gold prices keep going up and up for no reason. Here's an idea, just remove the gold system altogether and give everyone access to all the sphere as they level up. I can see using gold in shops and fusion but the shops are useless and fusing isn't worth it until you have the best gear. 

You keep saying you want to add things in to diversify gameplay and give the ability to do different builds but then change things so everyone has to do the same exact thing to be effective and win. 

I'd much rather see slower update releases and more testing done before each release. Alpha patch should have come out two or three weeks from now to give time for all the new passives to be in the game and balanced before moving on to the next stage and adding more things to be balanced and fixed. 

I'm getting tired of every month something getting reset and having to regrind up and up and up. Its not fun or in anyway enjoyable. I think a large group would agree that we would like to get in a game, play as far as we can and get some decent loot every game, no matter how far we make it. we keep repeating this over and over and get to the next stage/block/difficulty and progress to the end. I like the current idea of having the end be much harder than the gear you can get, but its not going to be possible for many of us to get there to even try it out if you keep taking away our ability to get gear. Am I going to log on one day and the hotfix will say I can now only get gear from the end game chest? I would definitely quit playing altogether if that was the case.

I don't mind the whole loot thing or any other changes. I hope all hero defenses have a purpose instead of seeing the same setups all the time.


I just want to play the game. Last night it killed my computer with several crashes and couldn't find a session when it didn't crash. Why do i need a session when playing private?
