This past week, all of us at Trendy have been hard at work on passion projects for Dungeon Defenders II. Now it’s time for you to help decide which make it into the game!

VOTE HERE

While we love all of these ideas, the realities of game development mean we can’t get them all in. So your votes will help us decide which are implemented. Now you can help us make the tough choices between focusing more on cleaning up the UI or getting an awesome combo ability feature in. 

Keep in mind that we’re excited about all of these ideas, as we’re sure you are too. The challenge is which to choose. So while it may seem like ties will help show us how you like everything (and trust me, we like them all too!), it’s more important to know what your favorites are. So the big winners are going to tell us the most!

 Haha, if only! There's a huge difference between prototyping some of this stuff on a branch vs. actually getting it into the live game unfortunately.

 I wish we could add all of it! Obviously some of it easier to implement than others (or a very small bit of it is actually... already implemented), so we'll be weighing that with the amount of votes for each to figure out what makes it into DD2 and when. It's incredibly exciting for our team to see which of these ideas you all care the most about.

a) Defense Speed removal is way more big of a difficult change, so we can assume a balance remake is already scheduled.
b) The game isn't balanced at all.

You can only start a balancing if you have the base you want to balance around, it's more than known that it's early access and features come up that change it all the time. 

Game will be balanced around this, you're asking for a feature not being added using bad balance as an excuse... Let's not have any more features or changes 'cause that breaks the balance, let's keep broken defense speed, 'cause fixing it breaks balance.

If you take a few steps behind and then run and jump, your jump will be longer, certain obstacles will require you to take a few step backs, run and then jump to get over them. 

But then again, the game isn't balanced for 3 heroes per player in the first place. I want you to tell me a situation where the hero deck v2 would actually provide something negative.

Simply put, being able to use every hero and every tower in a single match should never cause the game to be "unbalanced." The only effect of the hero deck at the moment is to limit the freedom and choice of players ... particularly solo players who (if they have a dedicated DPS hero) are limited to only two builders. To me, this is huge problem and why I put all of my points (282) into hero deck changes. I liked many of the other choices, but didn't vote for any because without hero deck improvements I think the game is at a huge disadvantage.

Most of the ideas that got a lot of votes i suppose... at some point during early acces.

We probably won't see any of these changes coming withing the next month, so people will probably have to be patient :)

 The problem i have with the herodeck of 6 is not the unbalance coming the moment its implemented. It's the unbalance it will cause pretty much the entire game, even after release. Trendy didnt handle the balance in DD1 well when all characters were freely available to use at any time (even tho they put a build timer on to slightly restrict the players). So i don't see how a perfect balance will be achieved at any point in DD2 with 6 characters available.

While the herodeck might limit some people because they like to solo in what is supposed to be a co-op game, i prefer those limitations rather than balancing issues even after release. If Trendy can make the game balanced on release i take my hat off, applaud the 6 slot herodeck and apologize for making a wrong assumption, but in all honesty i just can't see it working out properly.

And to those who vote for it because they want to be able to create more characters than the current 6, i agree 100% with that, the more characters we can make, the better.

I personally want the story telling one, I love things that increase immersion and lore. It's only got 450 votes though. :/ I do hope all of these will eventually get in and we are just identifying priorities. Furthermore... [[4296,hashtags]]

What's the criteria here ? >5k votes and it gets into the game (or 10k) ?  Why is there no option to vote against ideas ? (ie have the community tell you not to bother wasting resources on it).

Have just looked at the votes and the majority seem to be voting for the stuff I would like to see implemented anyway so, am asking myself, why bother using any of my points when all I really want is to vote against  the PvP idea ?

 Yes i also would like to know hwo many idears they choose or if they say we do everything that gets >5K votes or something like that.

I also dont really care about pvp, and i would be interesseted as well how many people would vote against it. It may have 7k votes at the moment but maybe also 15k people could be against it. would be nice for some statistics.
