Daniel Haddad, Creative Director (Blacksmith)
Working on Stats & Loot revamp and working with the rest of the design team on Onslaught and other new and cool things… Don’t listen to DannyAraya! he doesn’t have to be cryptic and vague! He lies!
Danny Araya, Creative Director (DannyAraya)
Working on story stuff! Sorry guys, I have to keep things cryptic and vague.
Jay Twining, Senior Game Designer (TrendyJayT)
Reviewing, collating and discussing all the feedbacks for map selection and parties.

Now that the three adventure maps have been released into the wild, have been helping coordinating what we’ll be delivering for the next content release. Have jumped into some public games and played with random folk, and it’s been a pleasure to see everyone’s excitement :).
I’ve also been caught red-handed adding bacon into Javo’s post. Good thing he hasn't checked the last four dev logs. ;)
Javier Barreto, Lead Software Programmer (javo)
I’ve become the support guy it seems. And it all happened so casually. Part of me wants to go back in time and stop me the other part says no. I’m actually helping (or so I like to believe).
We shipped with bugs, and we know it. We are actively working on troubleshooting those bugs. It may take some time, but I’m confident we’ll get them solved, with a plate of bacon on my desk. (<- not me. Argentinians don’t eat as much bacon… I think the first time I tried bacon was here in the US.)
Another week starts … a new milestone begins. We are adding more and more on top of what we have so that you can enjoy some crazy combos with pets and ubers and … who knows … we are going crazy. We are also adding some verification steps to make sure our next delivery is less buggy; this means better defined processes, open communication and more verifications steps, which also means we will not be adding as many new features as we have had.
And last but not least, Michelle is doing great (crying and all, making her parents understand the value of a good night’s sleep, clean shirts, free hands … and silence). She is doing great. =)
Maggie, on the other hand, broke a leg… or .. toe (?) (I’m no veterinarian so for me it’s a toe). She’ll be fine in a month or so, for the time being she is not supposed to run or take long walks (something quite harsh for a pit… or young dogs in general). I’ll send a photo next time.
Thanks for your support,
Abraham Abdala, Lead Tech Animator (Broham)

We have a focus this week on delivering a solution for visual clarity during some of the more hectic moments players are experiencing. For example, WHY CAN’T I SEE WHICH TOWER TO UPGRADE! TOO MANY EXPLOSIONS HAPPENING!
Chris Flores, QA Lead (likethatwhenigothere)
Licking my wounds and trying to recover from the Update release. Start preparing and testing the Hotfix.
James Reid, Software Programmer (Driscan)
What day is it? Huh..what’s going on here? No work...must sleep zzzzzzz. Forealdo, cleaning up more Pets and Dragons bugs and then moving on to our next milestone tasks.
The wife is heading out of town today for the week. I see late night binging of video game playing happening in my near future.

We hope that your enjoyment of Dungeon Defenders II, purchased at a normal or even low price, is more enjoyable and longer-tailed than that mess of a $99.95 pay-per-view boxing fight that happened this last weekend.
Trendy would like to remind you that if you want to have a boxing match with no hugging, you can check out ourold President's Day content. Okay, enough of the burns.
Enrique Rivera, Concept Artist (3nrique)
New Pet! I promise you will flippin* love it.

Meetings, meetings, meetings. Actually typing this up now in one. Also getting ready to start planning the release of our next patch.
Josh Isom, Community Manager (iamisom)
I’m really excited to share that the original Dungeon Defenders is getting two more updates! I know our DD1 community has been dying for some new updates. Not only that, but it’s our plan to pass the torch to the community and give them the ability to update DD1. I can’t wait to see how the community takes DD1 into the future.
Back on DD2, our team is still hard at work fixing bugs and adding new content to the game. Our first Beastmaster Contest was a success, and we’ll be making tweaks to it for the remaining contests to make the RNG a bit more palatable. The next contest starts later today!
Here are my favorite threads this week:
- Rewarding Gameplay: Bonzai101 discusses ways to improve how rewarding DD2 is to play. Do you agree with his thoughts? Do you have ideas of your own to improve the game?
- Requirements to Join a Map Level Like +++: doomcuddlez sparked a conversation about potential additional requirements to 25+++ to separate the fresh 25s from the veteran 25s. What do you think?
- Meet Quab, the Wyvern Killer!: Finally, Gutu posted this hilarious PSA about Quab. His blood is on your hands, Defenders.
