New Oceanic Servers and Service Update

Greetings Defenders,

We've had a bunch of players from the Oceanic region join DD2 in the last few days, so we've just spun up a new set of Oceanic servers for you to play on. These servers are located in Sydney, Australia. If you're an Oceanic player, you can now test the servers by simply launching DD2. The game will automatically select the new servers for you. Please let us know in the comments and on the forums how your experience differs on these new servers!

We've also just pushed out an update to our online services. This update fixes a rare edge case with profiles not saving at the end of a match. This update does not require an additional download. If you experience this issue after this update, please email support[at]trendyent[dot]com.

Every time we expand access to Dungeon Defenders II, we gain a wealth of new information about the game. We thank everyone who's submitted bugs to the Tavernkeep since launch. We've combed through these reports over the weekend and will have a patch addressing some of them later this week! We've also been compiling all of your feedback on the Steam and Official forums. We will have a video response addressing some of the most popular feedback later this week.

Will the new Patch include some new stuff or will it only be Bugfixing this time?

 This next patch will almost exclusively cover bug fixes. Stay tuned for the full patch notes!

Any plans for bringing servers to south-east asia as well? (In the next 6 weeks if possible, after that I will be back in Europe :P )

Oceanic servers must be a bit faster though from China, so I'll definitely try that.

Playing from Australia, I immediately notice a difference with the latency. I thought before that the delay between when I click to shoot and when the projectile actually ejects was because of Alpha coding not being optimized yet, turns out it was latency. Also notice the difference when upgrading equipment. I used to think it was just slow, but didn't imagine even that would be affected that much by latency.

I personally find these were not needed. I am an Oceanic player my self (Brisbane) i also live out in the hills and i have never had any lag on DD2. Maintaining Oceanic servers is also more expensive then servers over seas and considering you will be relying on micro transactions to pay for everything it is probably not a step in the right direction.

Welcome to the laggless part of Dungeon Defenders 2 Oceanic people! 
Now the mermaids can play with us good move trendy :D

Thanks for the feedback. I assure you we are monitoring usage, cost, and player outcries of "lag."

Congratulations on this great dungeon defenders improvement. The graphics and map are successful. For the bug: a friend was bug in the floor at party entry but he could walk at another place (on the floor) *bug located just at the floor spawn party entry* Else i don't find another bug.
